“It was our first time trying this place. Before going, we saw reviews/pictures and the food looked really good. When we got there, the place was empty but clean. The menu was a little confusing and no prices were visible because they were marked off with sharpie. The girl who was working during this time was helpful.. however she was not wearing a hairnet and I found a strand of hair in my bowl, inside of the rice. This made me feel uncomfortable to the point that I couldn’t finish my food anymore. We are planning to go back because the food was great.. but please wear a hairnet next time.“

“The food was good although I wish there were smaller bowls that you could get at a cheaper price. The banana caramel milkshake is one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. The poke was solid and the portions were good, the customer service was great. The restaurant workers were very kind and patient. 2 poke bowls and 2 drinks was $50+ after tip. We'd like to come back, but only for the occasional splurge unfortunately with prices that high. Still, very delicious and would recommend. Especially if you aren't worried about money.“

“Small simple Japanese Ramen and Poke! Very tasty! My husband really enjoyed #3 Ramen with black garlic oil and I had the Citurs Salmon Poke. Also very tasty. Reminded me of the small Ramen stops in Japan. A place to grab a quick tasty lunch. Seating is little stools with counters.“

“They are there to help you in anyway I’m not too familiar with the mixing and stuff that they do there so when I walked in, I just told the guy you know what you make me something that you would eat. It was delicious

“Been here countless times and it always delivers. One of the best values you can possibly find in the SCV area based on the quality of food and the price. Fresh fish, great toppings, and some of the best miso soup ever (for free!). Only drawback is sometimes the ginger rice is tough, but it's never been enough to ruin the meal.

As for complaints about price transparency... The servers have always clarified when something is extra for me without fail. Must have been a fluke. Or they can sense that I'm poor.“

“I work in the area and this is hands down my favorite place to eat. I love the poke bowl - the fish is so fresh and the flavors are so good, I’ve tried almost all of them! My favorite part of this place has to be the staff, I now recognize the two servers and they are always so friendly and have the best recommendations every time! 100% would recommend!“

“My husband and I drove from Bakersfield and stumbled upon this place. Decided to stop and try their AYCE dinner. About $46 per person. We don't eat sushi rolls, only nigiri and everything was excellent. The sushi was cut so evenly and made with care. We will be back!“
