The Grove Bar & Grill

I make a point to come to The Grove when visiting family in Atwater ... I would recommend the Steaks, Rack of Lamb, Pork Chops.... They also have Pastas, Delicious Burgers & Great Pizza.. I might add they pour Excellent Drinks. Very casual & laid back atmosphere. Out in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive.

Tried a New Spot – The Grove in Stevinson

Tonight, we decided to try somewhere new, so my fiance searched for restaurants nearby and found a place called The Cove in Stevinson. At first, we were a little unsure because the drive takes you down a country road that feels a bit sketchy—but don’t let that fool you. Once you pull up, it's like stumbling on a hidden gem. The place has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the moment we stepped out of the car, the amazing aroma let us know we were in for something good.

The customer service was great, and the food? Top-notch. Everything on our plates was absolutely delicious. I had the steak bites with a buttery blue cheese sauce—so flavorful and perfectly cooked, RARE. Jeremiah got the salmon and loved every bite.

The prices were very fair for the quality of food we received. You can tell they care about what they’re serving.

We would 100% recommend this place. Just be prepared for the backroad adventure getting there—it’s totally worth it!

The food was great. The clam chowder on Fridays is really good. We ordered the filet mignon it was melt in your mouth and the lamb it was excellent also. Very laid back atmosphere workers were very nice also

Good vibe. Love the outdoor seating options and the fire pit. This time they had outdoor games as well connect 4 and Cornhole. Helped to keep the kids entertained 😄. Food was delicious as well ordered a steak. It was cooked just as I asked. Definitely get the loaded potato!

The vibe and resteraunt is very land back and very rustic looking (cool country vibe). Menu has very good variety and the food is always fresh. Im giving the food 3 stars cause it seems like when we order a dinner plate the cook (on more than 1 ocassion) has been very heavy on the salt. But other than that we will be back for the vibe and country feel.

The BEST ribeye steak I have ever eaten!! Truly amazing!

Their original menu items are such a delight. The artichoke dip is unforgettable. Wasn't a fan if the steak bites independently, but the combo with the dip was savory. Their bread was perfectly toasted to my liking. Service was wonderful. Very polite. Such a chill atmosphere, inside and out. We'll definitely be back.

This place is a hidden gem!! My husband had been here once before & loved it. So for his 50th Birthday lunch he wanted, to go back & bring the family. I wasn't sure at 1st when we pulled up but what an awesome place!! The owner was very personable, our service was great & the food was as well. I recommend if you want to take a ride out of the bay area, definitely stop there!!

Food is always fantastic. The atmosphere is relaxing and laid back but also a great time. The drinks are also fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this place and the owners. Love coming here and highly recommend!

The Grove is an interesting experience. Hidden in the Central Valley of California near Stevenson. I had a friend bring me here this morning for breakfast. The Bloody Mary was great. ? I ordered the pork chop breakfast and it was decent. My pork chops were a little on the dry side but the seasoning was good. The location is beautiful nestled in an almond orchard that I was told used to be a top notch golf course, now reclaimed as agriculture again. We each had a drink and a large breakfast and our bill was $60 so mid to high prices. The service was good. The young lady who took care of us was very friendly. I would go back again. ?

Wish I could say we had a positive experience but sadly no. Waited over 2 hours for food and when it came it was cold. Definitely not the same chef that was with previous ownership. They catered more to the bar customers. They should figure out what they want to be.

Uh, no ..after waiting 2.5 hours for food, was very disappointed. I ordered 2 pork chop dinner and received nothing even close, unidentified piece of meat I couldn't even cut, plus sides were cold. Hubby ordered new York strip and resembled nothing even close. This place is a dive bar that pretends to be "fine dining". With the prices they charge, they need to decide what they want to be. I do not recommend.
