Big portions. Good and fresh salad in the middle of desert. Delicious and flavorful pasta. Juicy grilled chicken. Quiet atmosphere.

The bartenders always come out to greet my dog! You want to get the cheeseburger! A must stop on your way through Death Valley.

Thankfully this place was here or we may have starved 🤣 All jokes aside, the service and food were great. Definitely eat at this restaurant if you are in the area!!!

Adorable waiter but the prices for what is served are shameful... everything industrial and packets of chips like you would find in a convenience store. I don't call it catering... We had no choice in this matter, go eat elsewhere if you can!

One star for service, Roy was friendly.
For the rest, it's really making fun of customers.
If the kitchen is under construction, do not offer to sell dishes.
Plastic cutlery, paper plates... Hot dog for $11 with bread and microwave sausage, Vegetable wrap without sauce, very dry for $16.... you will be entitled to a packet of Lays chips with .
If I had wanted a picnic I wouldn't have gone to the restaurant!

The options were very limited because the facility is still under construction (no water, only soda, and they have no restrooms). However you can eat and stay cool for a bit, the atmosphere is nice!

Unlucky timing - we visited the Badwater Saloon after a morning exploring Death Valley and were excited for pizzas and a cold beer. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were informed there were no draft beers available, and as the kitchen was being renovated, the menu was very limited.

Menu options were basically a hot dog/chips/drink combo or a salad. As a family of seven, six of us ordered the hot dog combo ($11) and one had the salad ($9). Minutes later, we were presented with the most basic microwaved hot dogs, a small bag of chips and a can of soda (no glass). The salad turned up in a takeaway box and was basically a box of lettuce with a handful of cherry tomatoes and some chopped cucumber. As a bag of chips didn't come with the salad, we were told it was an additional $2 for the smallest bag of chips.

Such a disappointment - we should have grabbed some snacks from the general store across the road instead.

I think if they were struggling with the kitchen being closed, they shouldn't have offered any food options at all, or be more sensible with the pricing - paying $11 for a meal that probably cost no more than $2 to put together just felt like we were being ripped off, especially when a crappy bag of chips was charged at $2 on top of the most basic salad I've ever seen.

A real shame because the photos and reviews of this place when it's in full swing looked brilliant. Just seems we visited at the wrong time!

Worst meal on our four state road trip. Sandwiches and salad all from ready-made packages. Pizza is frozen goods.
Not recommended!!

The waiter who served us was the rudest person I have ever seen. He treated us badly just for not understanding his poor explanation. We couldn't even finish breakfast that we had to leave because we heard him speaking badly about us to our faces with other workers. If they fired that individual the place would be much better.
I have never seen such a rude person in my life, he doesn't know how to deal with customers, he is conceited and I won't say anything else because I will have more respect than he has ever had and because I think Google would censor my comment.

Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was poor - took a long time to be served and to pay and the wait staff were unfriendly.

Honestly a great place with great service. Stopped here twice on our tour, once they didn’t have power so they had Power Out Special - basic ham or turkey sandwich with a soda and chips for $10 cash. Hit the spot between hikes. Second time they had power and the food was great. Burgers were solid, chicken wrap was filling, and the turkey sandwich was legit. Highly recommend, great for families.
