I really liked my lunch of Chicken/Bacon Pasta with sundried tomatoes, spinach and asparagus in a garlic cream sauce. Although I could not find the asparagus, it was a tasty dish. Others in my party had veggie burger and southwest salad. The veggie burger was good tasting but didn't hold up in the burger shape and had to be cut up. They said the chicken in the salad was overcooked and looked like croutons but the overall taste was good.
After a long, hot 250-mile motorcycle ride down from the Sierras, Cast Iron Grill & Bar was exactly what we needed. The vibe at the bar was relaxed and welcoming, with a great selection of beers on tap. My riding partner suggested the Michelob Ultra — ice cold, just the way you want it after a day in the sun. (Besides, as Billy Bob Thornton says, drinking Ultra is “not really drinking” — so we felt good about going for the 20 oz!)
