We eat here regularly. The food is good. The service is fine.
Edit:
Yesterday, tried to eat here and there were 25 orders in a large group. It was nice that they informed us if we ordered it would be a long wait.
Today we ordered the Parrillada Argentina and then they told us they no longer serve that menu item. We canceled our order and they refunded our money.

I recently visited La Guagua Café in Suisun City, California, and once again had an excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Esther, who immediately made me feel welcome. I’ve been here before and have enjoyed their empanadas in the past, so this time I decided to try the beef empanada. As expected, it did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, flavorful and savory on the inside—it truly showcases why this café is known as one of the best spots in town for empanadas.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at La Guagua Café is inviting and well put together. The space is clean, cozy, and carries a fun, laid-back Latin vibe that makes you want to linger and enjoy your time. The customer service is consistently excellent—attentive without being overbearing, and always friendly.
While the empanadas are a must-try, La Guagua Café offers much more than that. Their menu is full of Latin dishes that highlight authentic flavors and provide plenty of options for every taste. If you love Latin cuisine—or even if you just want to try something new—this café is a true gem. Highly recommend!

Personally, I had a bad experience at the Suisun branch, since we made the order physically because they recommended us to go because we frequent the one in Vacaville a lot. When we arrived we made the order there were only two people at the table and for more than half an hour that they did not deliver us the food, I had to order a pastry so that the cashier could notice our discomfort, all the tables dirty. In the end, the food was not what we expected, all the dried meat and pork. I talked a little by phone with the manager and she got upset. I don't recommend this place. I won't visit him again. This is a MUST! All the baked good were incredible and food was delicious. Great variety from all Latin America and even down to the lemonade the attention to detail is noticeable.

Food is amazing, even greater when accounting for the cost. Chicken is tender and flavorful, chicharonnes is cooked perfectly as well. Sauces and guac complements the dishes well. So full and completely satisfied. Will try the empanadas and excited for the breakfast options! Great value, service, and food!

The food is always good. Try everything. The arepas, empanadas, steak sandwich, and pollo tropical are my favorites. Fresh oj and smoothies are bomb. The ladies working there are always nice and service is quick.

La Guagua offers delicious food, but the prices are not budget-friendly. Arriving early is essential to find pastries, which are often unavailable before noon, leading to disappointment.

Every time I come to this place they’re always out of something. I tried ordering a coffee the last few times I’ve came and they always said they’re either out of milk or the ingredients needed to make anything else (like horchata). When I tried to order one of their sandwiches I was told no more sandwiches for whatever reason. Don’t know how they run out of any ingredients at all when a restaurant should always be overstocked with ingredients for this reason. Very bad management is probably the issue here. Otherwise the coffee wasn’t bad last time I actually got one. Don’t know if I’ll be back since I end up wasting my time most times I try to go here and leave with nothing.
