Been here a handful of times and never had a problem. Clean dinning area. The employees are very fast and kind. Self check out is very to easy to manage. There is even a drive-thru which is a plus. The chicken is very juicy and flavorful. The sides are perfectly cooked aswell. Absolutely love this place for chicken.

Want to start off by saying this has been my go to location since high school 10 years ago, loyal customer, great food, great service. I want to say and thank Mariana that works drive thru, best customer service, works hard and she even went as far as to remember what I order which is always a great feeling, thank you again!

The el pollo loco on Sunland charges for every extra sauce packet $1.00! Then I started going to the one on balboa and Chatsworth and they said there isn’t a charge . The one on balboa is amazing service and well made food . The one on Sunland not so much .

Thank you for a great wing lovers meal. You cooked the chicken just right and the broccoli and mashed potatoes are always delicious. I came here because I was avoiding a different El Pollo Loco that is super slow and gets my orders wrong so thank you for a reliable alternative and I'll continue to come to this one. This location is conveniently located right next to the 5 Freeway so it's perfect for those of us just passing through the area

I come here about three times a week before starting my shift at work (1pm), and I have no complaints about the food or staff, but someone needs to fix how they constructed the parking spaces and drive-thru. During lunch, there's a line for the drive-thru (which is fine. That's what a drive-thru is for), but the line blocks the customers parked in their parking space trying to get out. I paid for my food in the drive-thru lane, but then I couldn't get out due to the horrible placement of this drive-thru.
9/23/24 update: 9 years later, I returned, and I am happy they solved their drive-thru dilemma. Their food is still cooked to perfection and delicious, and their customer service is still excellent. I will be coming here more often.
