The owner was abrasive and stand offish, even though we were the only people in there. No sport peppers or celery salt on the "Chicago" dog, which they put lettuce on for some reason. The hot dogs lacked the "snap" that a good quality dog has.

Any time I'm in Sun Valley I'm going to this gem of a place. I like to join the boys after work on a Friday, but today happened to be a Thursday. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I totally recommend Hound Dog !!!!!

A one man show with an abundant following. Tucked inside a strip mall on Glenoaks is a hidden gem. Nothing but a variety of hot dogs served many different ways. Lots of regulars frequent the place. You can sit at the bar or 1 of many booths. The gentleman who runs the place is extremely helpful and very friendly.

I grew up in Sun Valley. I knew some of the members of the car club plaques hanging on the walls. I know this place well although not the owner. I now live 150 miles away and was looking forward to the great chili dogs I remembered. The hot dogs were a disappointment. Maybe it was the heat of the day and an hour to closing but the dog was stale, no snap, and the bun was half open with the dog and fixins' lying on top. It was still tasty but not 5 stars. I think it was just bad timing. I will be back with high hopes of a better chili dog sometime in the future.
