Food is great and prices are reasonable for the food portion you receive. I call in advance to avoid waiting.

Yumm yum yum is what I have to say. Ají Teppanyaki is one of my favorite hibachi trucks. I first tried them when they had a brick and mortar in reseda but they closed it down sigh but I'm glad they have the truck here in Sylmar and it's honestly closer to me. I love that everything is freshly made to order and is super flavorful. I always get the chicken plate with fried rice as well as the New York steak combo plate. Don't sleep on the fried rice it's amazing. I always order garlic butter on the side and it's quite tasty. They do often put specials on their instagram so go check out their page and I love when they have the $10 chicken plates. They offer catering as well.

Solid spot if you're in the area for good food and great service. Check them out if you're local.

I recently tried the Aji hibachi Teppanyaki food truck, and my experience was mixed. It was my third choice since my regular spot was closed. Unfortunately, they didn't offer any steak options that evening, which was disappointing. Furthermore, they didn't get my order right despite my request for spicy rice on both items. The salmon was overcooked, and the chicken turned out dry. However, I must say that the shrimp was a standout, being quite decent. On a positive note, the food truck's location was convenient and easily accessible. They were generous with portion sizes, and the staff was friendly. Reasonable prices were a plus, and the speedy service was appreciated. I also liked the option to dine at the truck, which had an atmosphere resembling that of a chain restaurant. Overall, while there were some shortcomings in the food quality and order accuracy, the affordability, location, and friendly service make it a reasonable choice, especially if you're looking for a quick hibachi or teppanyaki fix. (Side bar -- we order chicken fried rice for both the bowl and plate as well as paid extra and they didn't not add chicken to either)

I reached out to them for a catering quote for an event, but unfortunately, I never received any response from them. I understand that businesses can be busy, but it was disappointing not to receive even a courtesy email acknowledging my request. Communication is a crucial part of any service, and the lack of response left me with no choice but to explore other catering options for my event. I never tried their food but after this experience with them, I don't plan on ordering anything.

Can't say enough great things about Aji Teppanyaki! Not only is the flavor amazing, but the service and prices can't be beat. My first time trying this place, but hands down beats the typical restaurants you would go to in the valley. This is my new go to for Teppanyaki. Meat - seasoned and cooked to perfection; Lobster - buttery and divine; fried rice - fluffy and drool inducing; veggies - perfectly sautéed and plentiful; sauces - beyond reproach! If you go anywhere else, you're wasting your money. So thankful we found Aji Teppanyaki! Ernesto puts his heart, sweat and tears into his food and it shows.

My brother introduced me to this food truck and it did not disappoint. The filet mignon has so much flavor, the shrimp was delicious and their ginger sauce is the BEST. Ernesto is the sweetest person, and puts all his effort into his food. 5/5 recommend. Quick, effortless dining.

I never thought of getting Teppanyaki from a food truck before, but today I decided to try it and I was am happy I did! Everything was delicious, especially the meat. I had the filet mignon and it was tender, cooked properly and flavorful. I am impressed, and overall loved the service, food, and sauces. Thank you Ernesto for the wonderful food.

The Service was really good and the worker who took my order was very friendly but I unfortunately can't say that for the actual food. I ordered chicken fried rice and the rice was extremely dry and either undercooked or old because it was super hard and crunchy. Not good at all. Small bowl was 10.95 and it had to go to the trash bc it was so hard. Look at the size of the bowl compared to my hand.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE. THEY SAY TO ORDER THROUGH DOORDASH BUT DONT. I've been waiting an hour for dinner, and nobody can get ahold of them. Finally had to get doordash to cancel the order since they won't pick up their phone and they arent making anything even though it says they're online. It's 10pm and now im left with out dinner. At 9pm there were still options now I'm stuck with McDonald's smh. I've been wanting to try this place foreverr. Definitely won't be trying now. Super unprofessional, can't even turn off your doordash or update your hours / answer your phones. Who runs a business like this?

Had Aji tonight parked on Laurel Canyon at Ritchie Valens park. They took my order and gave me exactly that, NY steak (medium rare) and chicken. Food was really good and one of the guys that brought out my order was nice enough to give me a soda with my order! Also not stingy with the sauce! If you want a hibachi plate that won't disappoint 10/10 recommend.

Nasty! The fried Rice was unedible and hard. The meat and chicken had no flavor and chicken was beyond dry. For the 60 dollars we payed definitely not worth it. I kept having to drink water after every bite that's how dry it was. The noodles aren't the thick yakisoba noodles they are thin but at least had a little flavor.

Where should I start ....So I ordered the Ny Steak and shrimp combo and upgraded to fried rice it was hard! Shrimp had a bit of flavor hardly any!....NY Steak no Flavor...on another plate Ny Steak and chicken again the steak no flavor and chicken absolutely no flavor! Side order of noodles were ok...paid $60 for $15 worth of food! First and last time buying from this place, I should have ordered to go from Yamatos in Stevenson ranch same price and never fails!

Had this place a couple times now. Food is always really good, prices are decent for what you get and the staff is really friendly!Only reason for 4 stars was our order got messed up the last time. A couple things were mismatched and one thing forgotten. I would still go back, just double check before I get home.

Is it possible to have a true teppanyaki expierence from a truck? Well the whole expierence is just not possible when trying to watch the show from the sidewalk, but the food was what you would expect from a high end Teppanyaki resturant, but so was the prices. The quality of the food was good, and cooked well. Flavors were also pretty good, though I thought the beef lacked some real flavor. The highlight for me was the grilled vegetables (cooked perfectly and I don't rave about veggies) and the garlic rice. Like I said the prices were high for a food truck but average for a resturant of this style, so if you want the flavor minus the show then Aji is the perfect combo for you, Aloha
