I believe the owner has great purpose. We need more persons like her. There are young homeless drug addicted who get no chance but at this restaurant they have a safe place to make change.

Worst experience ever. The took a tremendously long time with my pizza just to find out it wasn't hot and fresh. The pizza tasted like dog shit in my opinion. I've should've went to Pizza Hut or another vegan pizza place but it's whatever. Definitely hope you guys read this and won't spend money here but you can if you want and tell me how your experience was. The only dough girl in lake balboa was better and you can see them make your pizza

I'm disappointed with writing this review. I ordered online but ended up with an hour delay due to power outage or because they were backed up on their ordered. This is the 2nd time it has happened with the power outage excuse. I appreciate their courtesy but having to wait more than an hour for two self pizza is ridiculous. Sadley, will not be a return customer

Used to be a big fan...not anymore. 1 hour delay in receiving our pizza. Excuse was there was a Power Outage. Second time this "power outage" excuse has been used. This has happened to us 2 times. They are nice and courteous but it doesn't matter when your pizza takes 1 extra hour or more to be made. We waited outside in the parking lot for over 1 hour. Read on the recent reviews. All the 5 stars were from 2019. If you read all the recent reviews you'll notice a pattern of delays. Not coming here ever again. They have lost a customer.

Seems like great food except I'll never know. They company cancelled my order 20 days ago and claims they refunded me but it never appeared in my bank account. I've had to dispute the entire transaction now with my bank. Hopefully they don't do this to other people. It's very disrespectful.

Pick up your food without leaving your car! A worker came up to me to let me know how long the wait would be and order was finished on time. Great quality and delicious as always.

The reviews made me wary but I was tired of the greasy options in town, which I also love but wanted something fresher. I am so glad I went ahead I ordered and my only regret was removing the veggie salad. I ordered the big dough sizes which are huge of the margherita, the bbq pollo and the mushroom pizza. They are all so good and my order arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected. Food was hot and perfect! I can't wait to order again and will tell my family that we don't have to go far for fresh pizza!

I was skeptical about this place as soon as I arrived. I'd never heard of it and definitely did not ever expect to find a pizza place where this is at, but lo and behold! I got (don't be upset) a pepperoni pizza with pineapple, mushroom and black olives. My friend got a Margherita. Their website is very much so user friendly, and communication between the team and the consumer is great, too. Pizza was incredible. Had a slice of my friend's pizza, and I don't normally like pizza Margherita, but this was really good. I dig it.

I always try to support local small businesses in our area. So We gave this place a try about a week ago. I placed my order online with no issues. I picked up my food with no issues.. but when I got home I was so disappointed. The pepperoni pizza was super greasy. The veggie pizza..well. We looked for the veggies and only found a few. The pictures that they have the Yelp does not even compare to what we received. The roast vegetables salad only came with broccoli and carrots..missing the other veggies. Again- the pictures on Yelp tell a different story. I called them once I got home and no one called me back. I left a message and received a texted stating that they would call me back..nothing!!! I hated the fact that I spent that much money. Hard lesson learned. What's more upsetting is that they don't even call you back. Poor customer service.

It really pains me to write this review, the experience I had with Dough Girl was quite the headache. I ordered online for pick up at 7:40 pm and was quoted a 40 minute wait time. I ordered two pizzas and a chicken salad. At around 8:00 pm, I received a phone call from them letting me know that they were out of chicken for the salad and wanted to know what protein I wanted as a replacement. They were very nice and apologetic on the phone which gave me a good vibe. At around 8:10 pm my uncle went to go pick up the order. The address is not an actual storefront, but just leads you to a door in an area with plenty of warehouses. He rang the doorbell multiple times and called the number, but there was no response. After about 15 mins, a man finally came to the door and brought out the order. The food itself was good, but after how much of a hassle it was to get it I probably would not order again.

I wanted to like this place as it's a local business. I ended up waiting an hour and a half for a pizza that wasn't even hot. It was super floppy and didn't have any crisp to it at all. I also got some cheese knots. The cheese wasn't melted and the marinara sauce that it came with was cold as of it was prepped and left on the fridge. Can't say I would give this place another shot.

I have never written a review for a restaurant in my life. This place robbed me of my money and never answered the phone. The store is located near some wear houses also, which is super weird. Avoid this place at all cost. And for the owners, you should be ashamed of yourself to call this a business. Do better.

I was so excited to try Dough Girl. I saw them on Roy Choi's Broken Bread show a while back and recently heard they had moved into my neighborhood of Sylmar. My sister tried them a few weeks ago and said it was really good so I decided to try it out today. Given that it was MLK day today, I called earlier in the day to ask until what time they would be open, they said 9PM. They said they were only taking orders online so we ordered through GrubHub for pick up. Order placed around 7:30PM and estimated pick up window was 7:50-8PM. My husband went to pick up, arrives and gets a text fromGrubHub saying the order will be ready 8:10-8:20pm, not ideal with a hungry toddler at home, but not a huge deal. He called at 8:20, no answer, knocked, waited, called and called. At 8:50PM he saw a man standing outside the building. My husband asked the guy if he was waiting for an order, but he responded that he wasn't, that he was about to go into work and happened to be on the phone with a Dough Girl employee. He told my husband that the employee told him that they had all gone home and were closed for the night. I then had to call GrubHb, was on the phone 10 minutes trying to get my refund processed. I saw several people's reviews with similar experiences with pick up issues. This seems to be an ongoing problem. I try to spend my money on small businesses when we eat out. Restaurants are being hit so hard right now with Covid. But when a business treats customers like this, this is not ok.

I really tried to like this place but they made it impossible. Someone recently gave them a good review and basically defended the place from some of the negative reviews which is why I decided to try the place. It's time to rebuttal. Hiccups in certain areas and expecting perfection during a pandemic is not a reasoning to have hiccups or imperfections. Shit does happen but is it hard to tell customers when shit does happen so they have a heads up? I was sitting in the parking lot for 20+ minutes after I was supposed to pick up my pizzas and my family was just waiting at home thinking food was on the way and we were about to eat dinner. I did end up calling them at the 15 minute mark since I was sitting there and no one has said anything to us. She was nice and said she would check on the order. Let people know if you're running late, like that person said "a courteous phone call goes a long way." But then, I was quite confused because our pizza wasn't "hot" and more warm (I live 4 minutes away). I don't mind the price as long as it's somewhat worth it. Price was worth the size because they are pretty big BUT my vegan pollo bbq barely had any vegan pollo and same goes with my vegan meats pizza. I'm not sure if they were running low on vegan meats or what but it was definitely lacking. It was like one piece per slice. The animal pizza, mobster and s'mores pizza were okay. Mobster was similar to the meats, a little low on the amount. I'm not excepting a lot either. The slices were big so I'd think like 2 pieces of shrimp would be decent. It was more like 1 per slice. I understand we're in a pandemic but for me, its not a good enough reasoning to have people wait for 20 minutes in a parking lot without providing them a heads up. However, the staff did seem nice from when it came to me telling them I was there and the person who gave me the pizzas. All had a very friendly personality... hence the 2 stars. I'm not sure if I would try it again...maybe the other location? Who knows.

I have nothing but great things to say about Dough Girl. Yes, there have been hiccups in certain areas, I ordered when they were unable to fulfill my order and it took a little while to receive my refund, but if you're expecting perfection during a highly stressful time, Pandemic, anyone, I ask you how you could possibly do a better job...don't be unreasonable. Shit happens, I promise you that this business isn't dodging you or lying about things, a courteous phone call or reminder goes a long way. The manager is always the sweetest and most accommodating, there was even a moment when we were a bit short and without knowing that we were regulars (because we ordered under my friend's name) she comped us a bit. Do you think a chain like pizza hut would go out of their way to make sure you could try their product and to make sure you enjoy it? We are regulars and we know the deal, the ingredients are great and sometimes there may be timing issues or the like, but if you wanted something cookie cutter go to a normal pizza chain. For those complaining about pricing, are you complaining because it's in Sylmar? You wouldn't complain if it was considered "high end" or in a bougie part of the valley. When you're supporting a small business, you should keep in mind that it's not going to be your run of the mill Domino's or Pizza Hut type of pizza. This pizza isn't for everyone and that's fine but don't complain about price and size correlation when it's so clearly stated on their site and when you're ordering. For those that complain that it's cold when delivered or received, this is a small business, a 'mom and pop' they don't always have access or all the resources necessary...it won't kill you to pop it in the oven or microwave for a bit if you want it piping hot. By the way it still tastes just as great cold when you have the midnight munchies and don't want to wake everyone LOL Dough Girl uses quality ingredients, has wonderful customer service, uplifts our community and is really trying their hardest to stay afloat in the middle of an unprecedented crisis. Be patient and be kind, not just to this business but to all restaurants doing their best right now.
