This cozy hideaway is a true gem, the staff is friendly and the food is good. We had a fun time playing pool and sipping on vodka at the bar while we chatted with the locals.

It's called the Hideaway which explains its atmosphere it's in a canyon.. Kegal Cyn in Sylmar to be exact & people literally ride their horses to this bar.. it's been around forever & I'd say it's a mixture of rock & country & the crowd are the usuals who always come here & the crowd is very friendly!!

We rented this place for A CELEBRATION OF A COWBOY LIFE for Dean Bakers memorial, which included 30+riders on horseback arriving around 1:30 along with guest arriving on Harley's, trucks, cars, etc....I was nervous on how the event would play out, thanks to the bar owner, Cindy, aka "SIN", and her staff, (bartender was smokin' cool with his timeless mustache), I WAS GIVEN GUIDANCE AND SUPPORT THRU THE DAY, ACCESS TO NECESSARY TOOLS FOR BUFFET PREP, (CHILLI BLEW UP IN HER MICROWAVE AND SHE STILL HAD MY BACK), AND MANAGED THAT BAR LIKE A FEMALE WILD WILD WEST SALOON OWNER HAS FOR CENTURIES, MY HATS OFF WITH APPRECIATION AND RESPECT!!!! UNRULie JULie!!!

Come for the atmosphere and location! Karaoke Friday nights starting at 7:30pm! Such a cool spot with plenty of seating, a pool table, a stage for live music, a really nice patio, cheap beer, and in a really cool part of the foothills. It feels like you're in a mountain town even though you're barely up Kagel Canyon. They don't stay open late because business hasn't been great since the pandemic. Go here and support to change that! It's such a cool vibe and they just need some cool clientele.

I really love the location and vibe of this place. There is a really cool outdoor patio, $3 Hideaway beers, any cocktail you like, a stage for live music, a pool table, food, and lots of space. They only stay open later if people are there, but because it's a bit remote for most people they usually aren't open very late. I would love to change that. They have karaoke on Friday nights that starts around 7:30pm! Turn up! Get this place popping because it's one of the coolest spots in LA and I would love if some local bands played there. It feels like you're already in a mountain town even though you're barely just up Kagel Canyon at the very beginning of the foothills. It's unlike anything else in the area, and I mean that in the best way possible.

My favorite bar I was taken to while on vacation here?. Beautiful place to relax. Cynthia is awesome and I loved hearing her stories, a once in a lifetime experience . We will be back for Thanksgiving!
