First time eating here. I ordered 3 Pupusas Revueltas with a medium Horchata. The food was pretty good. The hot sauce they offered was okay, it could have been more spicy but it the did the job well. The Horchata did taste a little funny to me and also was kinda of chalky tasting. So that's why I took off one star from the overall score. Other than that, the food was very good. It is my personal opinion and what I will write will be from my perspective and experience eating pupusas for 47 years now. The pupusas look beautiful. But when it came time to try them, the beans were too salty for my taste and the pork rinds just didn't taste like pork rinds. Making rice pupusas is an art that not everyone masters, in this case the pupusas had a lot of dough on some sides of the edges.
We stopped here on our way to San Diego from the Bay Area. The pupusas, though expensive, were MASSIVE! Also, very tasty (queso con pollo y queso con asada).
I found the atmosphere pleasant, the staff friendly, and there were sides (salsas/pickled vegetables) brought to our table.
The reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is the price, and my girlfriend got the Pastelitos con carne, which had more potato than meat in them.
