Service was super friendly. Food from beginning to end excellent! Recommend the Chili Verde. Pork was moist and cooked perfectly. Guacamole was the best. Enjoyed the peach margaritas. Well worth the cost.

Sorry to report that El Chaparral is closed after we've been going there over 50 years. Don't know what happened? Drove by there and it's closed. If anyone knows what happened...please post. We loved Alta (Server) and Jose (Server) they've been serving our family for years.

Not surprised that this location is now closed. The quality of their food has gone down throughout the years. The same owner owns El Presidente. 10 years ago this food was the Best. Its to bad that it is now Closed. I guess that the employees knew at 1 time this location was going to close,so why should they put out good Quality food. They just didn't care anymore. To Bad. The interior was outdated and needed to be remodeled. I hope the employees where placed at his other locations.

Yes it is very sad that this place closed especially not having many restaurants in Sylmar that have a good happy hour. This place has been open since 1967. My grandparents used to come here and I've been coming since I was little. Really sad to see it go, such great family memories. But the food was way overpriced and not as great as it used to be. So closing isn't the biggest surprise. I heard rumors they are putting in either a Walgreens or a McDonalds, which we don't need either. We are already getting a Walgreens next to the new Smart and Final on Glenoaks. Plus, 2 other McDonalds within a few mile radius. Open a new Mexican Restaurant! Casa Torres sucks and we need something better in our little city.

This restaurant is now closed. We went here today to have our lunch and there was a closed sign on the door. Come to find out it closed about a week ago. There food was great and I will miss it.

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I've been many times and I'm always impressed with the food and the service. I usually come for the lunch buffet. Unlike many buffets, the food is always hot rather than warm and the selection is good. I went this evening and had shrimp fajitas. They were jumbo shrimp and there was so much food I will have lunch tomorrow! I love this place. Try it!
