Hands down the best lox bagel I’ve ever had. The photo doesn’t do it justice. My heart and belly are full! Also, they’re across from cute views of Lake Tahoe ☺️

They list their iced coffee as 20oz on the menu, it came out in a 16 Oz cup mostly ice, when I asked the employees why they said only hot coffee comes in 20oz cups so I showed them on their own menu where it advertised 20oz which they were surprised to see and said “oh yeah you’re right” but didn’t offer to make it right or give me what I paid for. Breakfast sandwich was good but overpriced. And I tipped before receiving service which I need to stop doing.

By far the worst Acai bowl Ive had. Was just a watery berry smoothie with bananas and granola. Gross.

Took 10 minutes to order at the counter and 45 minutes to get two sandwiches. No place to sit, had to stand and wait. Food was mid especially for the cost. Place stinks too. Dont understand how this is currently at 4.5 stars.

Tons of concern when it comes to food hygiene. No one is wearing gloves or hair net while prepping or cooking food. Our meats were touched with bare hands that was cleaning the counter and touching the sink.

The sandwiches were really good, reasonable prices. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Parking lot next door though it was pretty packed during peak beach hours.

Just off the main road this coffee shop was convenient for our adventures. We stopped to get iced coffee on our way back to the bay. They have merch and pastries too!

We were really disappointed with our experience at Pep’s Place. We placed a large sandwich order for a group and went over everything in person with the staff before leaving. After driving 30 minutes back to the house, we realized we were missing two sandwiches.

Mistakes happen—we get that. So we called to see if they could either replace the sandwiches or offer a refund, since we weren’t close by anymore. Unfortunately, the response was incredibly rude. We were told, point blank, that we had made the mistake and that they “absolutely did not” miss any items. When we mentioned the missing sandwiches, we were basically asked if we really expected a refund for our error. We double-checked the receipt, and we were definitely short two sandwiches. They were so rude we said said don’t worry about the refund, and ate the cost of their mistake.

It was uncomfortable, frustrating, and frankly, embarrassing. We had hoped to support what seemed like a nice small business, but the customer service was so dismissive and unprofessional that we wouldn’t return—and wouldn’t recommend it to others either. Disappointing all around.

Seems like a great little place. Customer service could be better. Staff seem 'over it'.
