This place is a cool hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Great beer! Yummy food next door @ Kit Fox Cafe.
Would give 5 stars but not fully vegan. I had the plant based BLT. Made with homemade coconut bacon on their own sourdough focaccia!! Also a super nice couple runs the place. Home made over baked pizza’s too. Homemade bakery items. Wish I could eat all.
As a full-time overlander, I enjoy visiting small towns and engaging with the locals. I camped on public land nearby after leaving the park. I found Dan and the rest of the locals and most out-of-towners very friendly and approachable. I left with good memories and a growler of great amber! I look forward to my next visit with great anticipation.
Great owner, great Beiermeister, and coolest place in the middle of B.F.E. ! aka- Death Valley The locals and the people that visit there are the coolest, hippest humans around. PEACE OUT Y'ALL ✌❤
Absolutely love this establishment. Becoming that since they opened. John make some of the best Wood-Fired pizzas I've ever tasted and all of Courtney's hand crafted dishes are delectable. Can't recommend kit Fox enough.

I really can’t believe this place exists! What a wonderful restaurant, made even better by the owners. We will never go to Death Valley without stopping here!!

What a delightful place! Courtney & John were so friendly & helpful about places to check out in Tecopa & areas beyond in Death Valley.
Now for the food - delicious!
My husband had the Quiche which came with a lovely little side salad with vinaigrette. I had the Butternut Squash Bisque (amazing!) which came with a slice of heavenly home made bread.
The walls were filled with photographs taken by John of the beauty of the desert and mountains. We are looking forward to the next time!

I've been coming to kit Fox since they opened. John and Courtney are honest hard-working proprietors. Turning out some of the tastiest baked goods. And absolutely astoundingly tasty fresh Wood-Fired pizzas. I 100% recommend hitting up this establishment. You will not regret it.

Decided to pass on lunch in Baker and gave this cafe in Tecopa a try. Very friendly service and delicious sandwiches with lots of gluten-free options. Probably the best option between Joshua Tree and Death Valley.

This place is wonderful. They have breakfast, sandwiches and also pizza in the evenings. There’s also a menu for those who want plant-based / vegan. If that is how you eat, you HAVE to stop here. It is a very friendly place filled with photos taken by the proprietors who will also tell you the local places to go. A special place.
Vegetarian options: There is a plant-based menu including a BLT with house made coconut bacon. There are also plant-based bakery items. I was delighted. For non-vegan vegetarians there are additional menu items with egg and cheese. If you’re travelling with meat eaters there are great options for them too.

Could not just eat and run without leaving a review, as we were mightily impressed with this little place. Food is amazing and they have lots of plant-based options (in what seems like the middle of nowhere). We had two different sandwiches (plant-based) and a wood-fired pizza - all food was amazing. I wish we had found this place sooner!
