The Kasagiri Japanese Restaurant was recommended by a business associate to try promoting that it had to be the best sushi restaurant he’s ever eaten at. Problem is, I’m a meat and potatoes kind-a-guy. It took me a long time to delve into Korean, Vietnamese and Thai food, but they are now on my favorites list. Never wanted to try sushi as the thought of eating raw fish never appealed to me but I thought if I ever were to try, I may as well try what sounded like the best of the best. I explained to my waitress, Kiara, that I was a Virgin to sushi and that I had no idea what to choose from the extensive list of items on the menu. After a short discussion on my flavor preferences, she recommended the garlic albacore roll, the rainbow roll and the crunchy roll along with a starter salad which I ordered along with the house on-tap beer. Oh My God…., was this delicious! By far the best meal I’ve had on my two week business trip. Always a little scary loosing your virginity, but for me, I know I’ll be keeping my eye out for the next great sushi experience. Thanks to Kiki for helping me though my first experience. Always great to dine out when you have exceptional service.
literally my favorite restaurant! so many items on the menu I love.. always hard for me to pick just one or two.. lol

Very good Japanese restaurant. Friendly, efficient service, delicious sushi and main courses. My wife and I split a caterpillar roll for an appetizer. For mains we had the King Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki. Both were delicious. Generous portions too!

The food in general is consistently delicious. Very large sushi! The combo meals always require a take home box

Heard good things about this place and was expecting more from it. Am from out of town and not a great first experience. Waited several minutes before I was even greeted. Then I ordered a combination which came with miso soup that she forgot to deliver first and then they asked if I wanted it to go. It says they use Ribeye - if that is indeed true- it was the toughest tasteless ribeye I have ever had. I am a big fan of Gyoza but not of theirs and their dipping sauce was odd- more like a BBQ sauce. Never had anything like it before. The Tempura was good. Overall, it was just ok. Not sure I would come back when in town again.
Kid-friendliness: Saw lots of children there

The food was great. We had the baked salmon roll, and the crunchy roll. Super delicious. Fried rice was great and the ramen was AWESOME. Unfortunately, the service was just not great. I didn’t mind our food taking a while to come out, but, the attentiveness was lacking. We had to remind them to put in an order of beef fried rice that we ordered 40 mins before it finally came. When we asked them, they had just put it in. In addition, our original order of a deep fried shrimp roll, took about an hour or so to come out, unfortunately, we had to remind them of that order as well. Service wise, they tried their best but, when you’re eating out with kids and are trying to be in and out, and there’s a lack of attentiveness, it really dampens the experience.

I’ve gone to this restaurants on and off for the last 20 years. My son was in town, a real sushi nut, and I took him here. After spending a lot of money on many dishes, his comment was: “I can get better Japanese food and sushi, for less money in the Bay Area.” Now when he visits, we go to Ichiban. Personally, I’m disappointed in their so-so food and high prices.
Awesome food, service, everything ? yummy food

Kasagiri is a favorite of mine, I like coming here with family and friends for special occasions and relax in a comfortable environment. The food is always excellent and there is usually enough to bring something home and snack on later.
