I just finished eating at a Kelcy's. I've been wanting to try it for years. I should have come when I first saw it years back. My food was excellent and the service was impeccable. It's a classic cozy diner. I had really amazing bbq tri tip sandwich with lots of meat, perfect homemade coleslaw (not too sweet not too much sauce) and great krinkle fries. Oh the pie was amazing and perfect. It couldn't make up my mind so I let Tanya my waitress surprise me....
We had a great experience today at Kelcy's. We usually end up eating across the street when we visit Tehachapi. However, today, we were craving something different, so we went in. We learned that this was the oldest restaurant in Tehachapi, so it felt like we were part of history. Coffee was great, and they even had fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was delicious. The food came, and it was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was great. We even loved the choice...
Kelcy feels like a very classic dinner and they were exceptionally welcoming to PCT Hikers which felt very nice after being in the wilderness for so long. Their pie slices were hot and delicious. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and absolutely to die for!
