Luna's Mexican Grill

Clean restaurant, awesome staff, and the food is SO yummy!! Portions are a good size for the price as well. We loved the chips and salsa! We ordered asada tacos and pollo tacos and liked them both ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely recommend and we will absolutely be back.

I ordered a taco salad and what I got was like a small taco with lots of lettuce. The meat had good flavor but it was served on a fried 6” flour tortilla with quite a bit of lettuce, a small amount of tomato and a couple pieces of shredded cheese. Had to really look to find the cheese. Then it was folded in half and wrapped in foil. I paid $10 for this?! I asked them “this is a taco salad?” and they said yes. I could have gotten the same amount of food in one taco for less than half the cost. Very disappointing. Will never eat here again.

Today we tried Luna’s for the first time. The service we received puts other restaurants to shame. We had dinner with friends of ours that we had not seen for a while. Luna and her staff were so gracious and accommodating and they let us stay way past closing time. On top of that, the food was amazing. We had soup and burritos. The meat was fresh and prepared the authentic Mexican style. Everyone cleaned their plates. We strongly recommend it. We will be back.

First time eating at Lunas. The food at Lunas is good. We ordered the chicken flautas and they were tasty. The salsa could use a little more flavor, but overall everything we tried was solid. The owner is super nice and easy to talk which makes the place feel really welcoming. The restaurant itself is very clean. Even though the menu is small, the dishes are good for a Mexican restaurant in Tehachapi, this is definitely a great spot to eat.

Family run Mexican Restaurant. We stopped in for dinner yesterday. The service is very good. The restaurant is clean and organized. The corn tortillas are homemade. The food is American Mexican and there is no alcohol on the premises. The food could use additional seasoning as it was a bit blan. In Tehachapi there are not many restaurants that are 5 star and these folks are striving to improve.
I had chicken fajitas, my wife had chicken enchiladas and my dad had the Carne Asada. The restaurant also has take out and delivery.

We are so sorry over the fact that Luna's Mexican Grill has been here many years, and I don't know why we have never tried it up till today. Maybe because it's not in the best location, not visible from the street, just quietly tucked hear at the back of the parking lot of the sure Stay Hotel. They absolutely have the best Mexican food in all of tehachapi, hands down! The restaurant is so incredibly clean, the employees work so hard and bend over backwards in every way possible to make every customer happy. The food is incredibly fresh and authentic. Best homemade chips in town. Best chile relleno , beans and rice we have had in years! And don't let the fancy storefront or restaurant fool you, the prices are very very reasonable. No more expensive than any other Mexican restaurant around. I honestly think everyone, especially the locals in Tehachapi should at least give them a try once. They truly deserve it in every single way. Absolutely Five Star All The Way! Will be back tomorrow for Sunday brunch
