Best bang for your buck. Plus it’s a local home town favorite. Food is ‘to die for!’ The staff is always so welcoming no matter who you are.
Portions are generous. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly.
Super delicious breakfast at fair prices. No tourist restaurants, only locals ate there. So it was a nice experience for us to immerse ourselves in the world of the Americans. The waitress ran around with the pot and refilled it. Best service

This is a very casual country eatery that my wife & I love to visit when passing through Templeton. Please be aware that there is another sister-restaurant located a few miles away in Paso Robles.

The pictures don't do justice on how good the food is here. I had their Monterey Omlette, and their beans were surprisingly tasty even though I am usually not a fan of beans. I'd recommend coming here for their breakfast!

it took 7 phone calls for somebody to still not even bother answering, i thought maybe it was just busy so i tried going inside to place a to-go order but it was dead enough to hear crickets if there were any so i just walked right back out. Their service has always been so irritating

THE family spot. When my parents would come visit, we went to Joe's. When the kids have a day off of school, we go to Joe's.

While it appears everyone knows about Joe’s Place, we did not. As we were staying in San Luis Obispo, we decided to explore other nearby towns. We found the charming little town of Templeton. Lots of old architecture, slow paced and a real sense of community. Since we were hungry for breakfast or lunch, we found Joe’s. Beautiful old building, pristinely clean and inviting. The very friendly waitresses have worked there for years and were more than accommodating. You immediately felt at ease and knew the food would be great! A real craftsman did the woodwork in their dining room and it was special. My husband had a full breakfast with crispy hash browns the way they should be done. I ordered the freshly made egg salad sandwich which was superb! Funny, I had not had an egg salad sandwich in years…why I have no idea, but now I’m once again hooked. We will definitely return here next time we are in the area. Don’t miss Joe’s!
