We were excited to eat here as the reviews were really good. Our service was good, but our meals were disappointing. Our tacos came out with nothing on them. The menu was very limited. I think ordering the burger would have been the way to go. I would not eat here again.

A delicious burger and a lovely patio on the river. Service was good with a great selection of beverages.

Good atmosphere and good food. The staff was very friendly. Service was fairly quick. They had a peach cobbler with rice cream for dessert that was so good!

Wow, what a way to treat customers. Food is mediocre at best but then you get the bill. We paid it without checking it and left a 22% tip in cash. When we checked the bill we saw they had added 20%, with no mention of this. Then we found a credit card processing fee! When we challenged the server she told us this was standard practice in California. I guess as foreign tourists they'll just feed you any old line. Avoid at all costs.

Food was okay. Watch out for extra charges. Tip is automatically charged without you being told and they also charge an extra deduction for credit card processing and when challenged the waitress said that was an extra charge that is added everywhere in California! Shocking!!! Don't be drawn in just because they show up as the #1 restaurant in Three Rivers.

The food was good, the staff friendly enough. But it bothered me that the waitress substituted another Pinot Noir to what I ordered, at 50 percent higher cost than what was on the menu. When I pointed this out, she basically just shrugged her shoulders and said something like "I guess we should update the menu". No offer to compensate, so I left it but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Stayed in Three Rivers a few nights and tried a different restaurant each night. Was really looking forward to the Ol' Buckaroo and found it a bit of a disappointment. Hubby said the French Kiss grilled cheese was awesome; I had a Buckaroo burger - meh - it's a burger. Enjoyed sitting outside by the river.

By the side if the river, if you dine out the garden you can hear the rumbling of water. The buckaroo burger was very good. The service very fast. The waitress who helped us was extraordinary, very friendly and kind. Gracias!

The food is okay, but service was aweful. The waiting line is handled horrendously: we had to wait 30minutes to get seated, which is okay, but they didn't let us sit anywhere even though half of the restaurant was empty. You have to wait on the parking lot. The water they served us wasn't clean ! We got okay pork ribs and burgers which arrived somewhat cold, with corn that was terrible. On the bright side they had a vegan option, and the location is very nice.

We decided to get out of the valley heat and have dinner here. We had been here a couple of years earlier and thought we would try it again. The food was okay. We got steak skewers, shrimp skewers, risotto, and Brussel sprouts and split it between us 2. The food was okay to good. We then got two desserts that were good. When the server came to our table to give us the bill, she was holding an iPad. She verbally gave us the amount. We gave her our card and she swiped it for that amount, handed our card back to us and walked off. We thought it was odd that she didn't have us sign or check the iPad for the tip. We got her attention and asked her if the tip was included, to which she said yes. We received no receipt or offer for a receipt. It bothered me all night, so I looked at our account and sure enough, the amount stated was taken out which was okay, but my husband got a notification from apple that a 20% tip was added PLUS a service fee for using our card! There is nothing on their menu that says the tip is included in the bill nor is there anything that states there is a service fee! We usually tip at least 20-25%, and I feel we should have the opportunity to choose ourselves, or at least the information ahead of time of what the charges are!

We travelled to California from The Netherlands on a family vacation and had dinner at Ol Buckaroo during our stay at Three Rivers to visit Sequoia National Park. The restaurant came recommended by our motel (the Sequoia Motel), and we were not disappointed. My two kids (12 and 14) had the hamburger and my wife and I shared several of the small plates (some beef skewers, shrimp skewers, chicken wings and small peppers). The food was really good. I particularly liked the beef skewers, while my wife was partial to the chicken wings. Also the kids were very happy with the burgers. In addition to the food being great, the ambiance of the place is very nice. It was very hot (42 degrees Celsius) but we could still sit outside and overlook the river because of the misters the restaurant has installed. This was very pleasant, as was the general atmosphere. And then of course the service. This was very good as well: quick and friendly. Our son had the misfortune to be stung by a bee, and the waiters were quick to help with ice and tweezers to remove the stinger. All in all, in spite of the bee sting, we had a very pleasant evening here and would certainly recommend this restaurant.
