We were at Sequoia in the morning and we were hungry and stopped to eat something. It was the best decision ever!!!
The super friendly and patient lady explained to us what she had to eat and we ordered hamburgers. We read "black bear" and it sounded good to us, as we thought it was funny that the name was close to the park (as there were other funny names on the menu). When the burgers arrived we realized they were "black bean" and we liked them even more!!!
Excellent stop, clean and calm environment and really homemade food. It cost! ✌?

Crazy cool little market with a deli Counter with good sandwiches and ? ? ? and other things to go just on your way into the park very unique little joint. Let me tell you way worth stopping before you get to the park. If nothing else just to check it out people were great, also very friendly.

I love places like this. It's very unique, the food was tasty and the hidden patio has amazing atmosphere.

This place is excellent - surprised it’s not more popular. There is a deli and restaurant inside, along with a small grocery. I had the pulled pork sliders as a special and it was delicious! It came with a side of Mac salad that was excellent and a piece of Hawaiian wedding cake. They have a nice selection of wines as well, and grocery assortment.

Plus, you can order sandwiches to go. Perfect lunch option for the next day at Sequoia (and far cheaper than park food!).

Good interior and nice folks. Should be more popular.

It's a must if you approach Sequoia National Park! Sandwiches were absolutely delicious and we were very nicely served, by the way.

The deli looked great but we didn’t try anything

Stayed at hole in the wall next door and was very grateful for this place. Stock all the general store necessities and we are there one evening. Service awesome with useful Intel for anyone visiting the park, friendly people, cool back patio, tasty and reasonably priced food. Give it a shot. They close early (1930) so don't leave it too late. Recommend.

Don't judge the book by its cover! On the outside, this place looks like some shady, shaggy, outdated hole-in-the-wall with no signs of life. We stayed at a very low-key motel next door and risked on going to this place for a hassle free dinner. Don't expect much; the choices are limited but my meat-eating husband and I (a vegetarian) got 2 super fresh, juicy salads, 2 glasses of properly chilled white wine and a regular burger for him and a vegetarian one for me and everything tasted great. The service was great and fast, and we enjoyed chilling on that hot evening on their fan- and misters-equipped patio. The prices were very reasonable too.

We were utterly starved after fighting crowds and traffic in the Sequoia National Park area. We stopped here and took a chance and we very much made the right choice. Pulled pork and BLT sandwiches were tasty and my (pulled pork) sandwich was almost too much food. House-made potato salad with black olives were lovely. I was thankful for my fountain CocaCola. The store has other snacks and desserts (candy, cakes, cookies) that we did not try, plus some staples and extras one might need if camping in the park. There is much more seating than we realized at first, and a large TV had baseball on this afternoon. Two lunches and drinks and an extra piece of fruit cost $25, which seems normal for these days.

We got some food there after visiting the Sequoia National Park and I got the bbq pulled pork sandwich and it was amazing, I enjoyed every single bite of it. I highly recommend it!
I don't have a picture because I ate it as fast as I could ??? no time for pictures when you're hungry and the food is so yummy
