Great food, great people, great place! Get the garlic/cheesy bread to start, house salad (great tangy dressing) or mozzarella fresca con pomodoro, and either the pizza verdura with flavorful caramelized spring veg or the very classic cheese to hit the spot. They used to make mozzarella fritti with delicious marinara, not sure if this is still on the menu but I often think about it so if it's available, get it! Super retro Frescos around the restaurant and the iconic Italiano plastic grapes and decor are a blast from the past! I love this place and have for years! Ignore the haters and enjoy this gem!

Enjoyed eating here for years, but when we stopped by last night we learned that the restaurant had CLOSED.

We've been sitting at our table for 40 minutes. Someone tossed a couple of menus at us after 10, took our order at 25 (yelling in rushed barely understandable English) dropped bread off as an afterthought.....and the room is so chaotic and loud that I'm getting a headache. It's a good thing that we're passing through and I'm hungry enough to sit here and wait. Never coming back.

We are visiting here from Baltimore and ordered food from here for the first time. We ordered lasagna , greek salad and fried Brussel sprouts. The order came within 40 mins. All the food was scrumptious!!!! I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of everything. I had never eaten fried Brussel sprouts before. They were absolutely outstanding!!! II will order from here again!!!! Thank you!!! GK Stone Baltimore md

Great traditional Italian cuisine

Fabulous lighting. The food was like an old piece of cheese i once found in my car trunk - surprisingly good. The waitress was a troubled lass - couldn't even make a white Russian. I doubt she'll get far in life.

I tried to give this place a chance so admittedly I have gone a few times. However, the best I have received is the pizza. So many great sounding dishes on the menu with a classic 70's-80's Italian slant how can you go wrong? One of us had the seafood pasta.....the pasta was fine but the seafood was off. Mussels tasted like dirt, shrimps were like thawed from a Costco pack and the squid/calamari....I will leave up to your imagination. The other person in our party had the pasta with meatballs. The meatballs were clearly reheated....well at least part way through but not the whole way through...almost had a brain freeze. The third person in our group had the veal parmigiana. They found it swimming in some sort of sauce and after scraping all the cheese off it, it actually tasted OK. Service was friendly but extremely slow and uninterested in asking us why we did not eat all our food or wanted to take it home with us. Will not be going again.
This used to be a wonderful restaurant, beloved by locals. They must have changed hands. The service was abysmal, "fresh" crab cannelloni was canned

Outstanding authentic traditional Italian food! Everything from the garlic bread to the veal Milanese to the lemon gelato dessert was out of this world. Even better than any of the North Beach restaurants!

I have eaten here 3 times and unfortunately (bc i really want to like it) it's always horrible food...especially for price. They really should get a new chef and new mgmt or better yet just sell it bc that spot deserves a really good restaurant. It's surprising they have survived this long.

This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve large portions for fair prices. Always clean and with awesome mood. I highly recommend this place.
