We went to Via Piccola Trattoria for my brother's birthday, and it was fantastic! The mussels were a delicious start, and both the parmigiana and steak were absolutely amazing – full of flavor and perfectly cooked. We couldn't resist trying the desserts, and they were a great finish to a wonderful meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the evening even better. The price is just right for the quality and experience. Highly recommend!

We’d been to an Italian restaurant in this location more than a year ago, but didn’t know it may have changed ownership. The food was terrible; undoubtedly the worst Lasagna I’ve ever had (I would call it odd meatloaf) and my husband’s Eggplant Parmesan was “tasteless”.

Recommended dishes: Caesar Salad, Tortellini Special of the Day
We chose this place as we hoped to find an easy option for a Memorial Day lunch after our hike on Ring Mountain - we thought Larkspur Landing and the Tiburon Ferry area would be too crowded
We were very pleased with the friendly, thoughtful service. They welcomed four adults, a toddler and two dogs and made sure we had everything we needed to settle in. The patio is just sidewalk seating by the parking lot, but was just fine for us. The restaurant indoors looked very pleasant
We were all happy with our choices: penne piccola, minestrone, zucchini fritters, panini pollo, Caesar salad. Side potatoes and vegetables were also fresh and gif. Gelato was delicious! A very solid choice for an Italian meal.
Vegetarian options: Zucchini fritters
Parking: Shopping center parking lot
Kid-friendliness: High chair, tops for water cup. Also bright dish for dog water.

The restaurant was a pleasant place with friendly staff and waiters. The food was authentic Italian food. The pasta is so chewy and fresh, and the gnochi is homemade. The flavors were amazing. Overall the food was delicious, I definitely recommend.

Amazing, delicious, always perfect meals every time I dine here!! My favorite place in Marin!! Pedro, the owner, is always so gracious and accommodating to all his patrons. They even customize the sauce to the dishes that I like. Dine here you’ll come back often!! ❤️

My dish had plastic in it, just to add to the fire, the dish came out very hot, which meant that the plastic had melted into the food and I ate a sizable amount before I discovered the plastic while chewing. This is absolutely unacceptable. Wouldn’t recommend, there are plenty of better Italian cuisine around than this lazy cooking.

I had an amazing dining experience at Via Piccola Trattoria! The atmosphere was cozy and intimate, and the service was top-notch. But the real star of the show was the food - specifically, the Deluxe Pizza. It was absolutely perfect! The crust was crispy, the sauce was tangy, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the care that went into crafting each bite. If you're a pizza lover like me, you won't want to miss this gem. Five stars and I can't wait to go back!
