Updating because the parking lot has finally been re-paved and I'm happy to be back. That's a funny coincidence that they paved it so soon after my initial review, but I'm glad it's done

The sushi in this store is bad because they leave it out for to long and some meat is expired and the milk is close to expiring....such a steal!

There must be a new sushi chef because the food quality just isn't the same. From the way it tastes to the way it's arranged... nothing is the same... We bought sushi the other day, ate a couple pieces and put it in the fridge... opened the fridge an hour later and the whole fridge stunk like crazy. Date on the food packaging said it still had 2 days but it was definitely going bad... prices are up also... a $9.50 shrimp tempura roll now is $15.50 because it comes with 4 pieces of an undressed California roll... what a scam.

I've never had a bad experience here. It's clean, well stocked, the cashiers are friendly, and the manager helps with whatever you need. She even advised me when the rotisserie chickens were freshest. Sure, I would shop here more if they had a deli, bakery & meat counter, but it satisfies what I need most.

Wow!! Went there 2/21 to do a return and the cashier was the most unfriendly and rude person. Never did a return before so I assume if she sticks her hand out I needed to give her my card. She sarcastically pointed to the credit reader. I needed to get something and went to a different cashier, and she was just as bad. No greet, no thank you, just to say here's your change. What's going on? You are in a service industry, if you can't handle that PLEASE quit your job!

The store itself is ok. There is one, and only ONE cashier/employee that is worth going to this store for. I wish I knew her name, she is the most friendly and truly does remember her customers! On the other hand, I had THE worst experience that I have EVER had at a grocery store. I purchased an item that was supposed to be on sale but I was charged full price. When I went to get a price adjustment, the cashier had NO idea what to do. She got flustered and got pretty upset with me, the customer! I'm not going to call her out on this post, but if anyone is concerned or cares, I'd be happy to talk. Horrible, Smart and Final. If she worked for my company, I would be concerned!

Very disappointed with this store. Since new management, this has been a hit and miss experience. Some shelves are empty and First Street products are more prevalent than other brands. When I inquire about why are the shelves not being stocked I get "it's the fault of shipments being held at the ports and if you don't like it, you can shop somewhere else. Funny how every other stores like, Vons, Stater Bros., Ralph's shelves are fully stocked and one can get everything that we need. One compares this S & F to ANY OTHER outlet and it's pathetic. Their produce section is laughable, as most of the items are old, staged horribly. No pride whatsoever. I live very close to this S & F, Dove Canyon and before this new management this store was adequate to do a quick run. I would rather pay more or travel further than to be frustrated shopping here. I've been a customer with them for decades, even when I lived in H. B. The last straw was when I was shopping at the store on the day of the masks state mandate when into affect, the produce guy tells a customer and myself with a very demanding attitude, "YOU NEED YOUR MASK ON". Next day no masks required. Where the hell was the manager who should be doing this? This store is a joke and I will never come back to shop at this poor ran establishment, in spending my hard earned money for mediocre products and service.

Buyer beware... under new corporate management. Selling Chinese garlic! Why? We have Gilroy upstate . Stop selling us food from China. All loose garlic is also Chinese. They remove it from the packaged netting to sell individual heads. So upset! NO CHINESE GARLIC!!!

This has to be one of the worst grocery stores in RSM. The employees always look miserable. The store has a nice selection of items but is very overpriced for a low-budget grocery store. Also, refusing service for someone not wearing a mask is ridiculous and anti-customer. Shame on you for buying into the craziness.

Not only is it overpriced comparatively to other stores, when I went to check out and was carded (fine btw) the cashier said she couldn't take my out of state drivers license. I literally had to wait while she called for management. Never ever have I had someone not take my ID. It's legally issued just like everyone else's. Do we need more training here, maybe?

Employees must be treated very poorly, management needs to improve on customer relations, but asking for a manager only seems to escalate the situation, the environment and level of maturity is similar to high school teenagers. Disappointment

So, having lived close by this location for 27 years, I had experience with Lucky's, Albertsons, Haagen, Smart and Final. I found pricing at Albertsons and Haagen to be high. Being a careful shopper, I've found it useful to review ads and coupons before shopping. Sometime other stores have better prices for commodity items. The difference is that those stores 'force' self checkout. I'm not excited about having to figure out the 'code' for produce items that don't have 'stickers'. I avoid a competitor about 1/2 mile away due to that. Staff have always been very friendly and helpful. I was looking for fresh dill in produce and a staff member went to the back and got some for me. I wanted a smaller rib roast and the butcher cut a smaller portion for me. All with a smile. The checkout staff has always been helpful and friendly. All stores in the area are not good on Sunday afternoon. Packed and long lines. Simple time management and planning help mitigate that. Overall, Smart and Final is my first choice for grocery shopping.
