Trabuco Oaks Steakhouse

Lovely to be met and learn the history plus learning of the upgrades over the years and the things that stayed the same like cooking over wood and still sniping ties. Great fun to see the enormous collection and all the good sports that went home with no tie. LOL Servers were thoughtful and amenable to making substitutions like vinegerette and no blue cheese on salad. The portions were as described and the meat was so tender. The killer was the huge desserts. Took almost as long to finally finish dessert as eating the main course. Appetizers and drinks were great and servers were quick to check for refills of drinks and/or water. Great “experience” for the 7 in our family who reunited after ten years apart. Also a nice drive to the restaurant. Thank you

I loved this place from the valet to my send off. The steak was cooked to perfection, the service was amazing and fast. Definitely going back and recommending to my friends and family.

The beef was very good, service was efficient and friendly, the side salad was abundant but the restaurant should have served something in addition to bread and beans with the steak dinner.

I took my grandson here for his 17th birthday. His first time. He really enjoyed the restaurant, his steak, and having his tie cut off! He's ready to go back soon!

Amazing Experience! Absolutely the Best Steak ever!! We'll worth the long drive!

Recently had dinner with another couple and was told we could not split the bill. This is not good as we both have points on our master cards. This means only one couple gets the entire bill on their card while the other couple writes a check to the paying customer. This is poor customer behavior by the restaurant. The meal and service were very good except our mashed potatoes were cold and made even colder with the addition of butter. Please bring back split checks!!

Trabuco Oaks is one ofbour favorite restaurants in OC. Dani was a great server and the food was on point

Had their tomahawk special dinner for two. The sides were their onion rings and mac n cheese. Both were sides were very well prepared and came in piping hot. Mac n Cheese was creamy and the two cheeses blended together deliciously. The pasta was cooked perfectly.
The onion rings coated nicely and perfectly done. The star of the show the steak was exactly how we asked for it medium rare. Full of flavor, juicy . Mesquite flavor all the way.

Best steak, lobster tail and hamburger I ever had. Cooked exactly as I ordered it. Service was great and friendly. Highly recommend. Only negative, we got there when it first opened at 4 pm so place was not crowded; however they put everyone in a tight little corner rather than spreading us out so felt a bit cramped. Love the location. Out of the mainstream in the woods.

We've been dining here since the 70's. Always good food. Fantastic people! It's a bit pricey since sides are extra.

Everything was excellent, we look forward to returning soon. The servers and waitstaff were kind and attentive without being intrusive, they also made suggestions. Valet parking attendants were efficient . We ordered salads and the surf and turf, both were flavorful and delicious. Salads were fresh and brought to our table just as we ordered. The surf and turf was excellent; steaks cooked to our requested doneness and nicely flavored, the lobster was cooked perfectly and nicely presented. The bread is a real treat too! Food was amazing....Filet and Shrimp dinners and Salmon. We started. Staff was attentive and on the spot. We will return soon!!

This is a place you have to visit. The atmosphere is so cute you will even see a tree in the middle of the dinning room there is a lot more but I don't want to blow it for you.its a very old place with a bar. The service was excellent. Just thinking about the Ribby steak my mouth starts to water. It suggested to make reservation. We didn't and we probably waited 20min or less. Enjoy

Our dinner took so long it might as well have been breakfast for tomorrow. It took 25 minutes before we got our first complementary bread, and a total of 3 hours to serve 6 people dinner plus dessert.

The fries were good and the ties were great to look at, but the cheesecake felt like it was from Costco and the ceilings were low.

Very Disappointing on all levels to celebrate a High School Graduation. Service was absolutely horrible from start to finish. Took 30 minutes to get drinks + bread and that was only after asking the bus boy about status of initial order. No apology from waitress and then took another 1 hour 30 minutes to get luke warm appetizer then dinner for group of 6. Took another 30 min to get dessert. This was NOT the Trabuco Oaks that I knew from the past and very sad it ruined such a special occasion that I cannot get back.
