Just a bad overall experience. Food was the most important but unfortunately was the worst. We definitely would not go back.

The food was okay, the server never refilled our drinks or checked to see if we needed anything. I had to get our refills myself.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this Golden Corral, specifically with one of the staff members working at the steak station. His attitude was extremely rude, and I couldn’t help but feel that his behavior might have been discriminatory.

When I walked up to the steak station and asked for a RARE steak, he told me to wait 10 to 15 minutes. I was sure that he already had RARE steaks available, so I thought maybe he had misheard me. But what could RARE possibly be mistaken for? Medium RARE, Medium, Medium Well, Well Done—none of these sound like RARE except for RARE itself. No one simply says WELL. At that moment, I didn’t feel offended. I simply confirmed that I wanted RARE, and he did give me a RARE steak. I politely said thank you and left. I don’t understand how he could misinterpret that request—no one say WELL when they want WELL DONE. At first, I didn’t take offense and just assumed there was some misunderstanding. I even made sure to clearly state "RARE" each time and politely said thank you after my requests.

However, the third time was different. I noticed that when the customers before and after me requested RARE or Medium Rare, he understood them immediately and served them without any issue. Yet, when it was my turn, he didn’t even let me finish my sentence before cutting me off and telling me to wait another 10 to 15 minutes. When I tried to clarify my request, he outright ignored me and refused to listen.

I have ordered steak and eggs at countless restaurants, and I have never had a situation where my request for RARE was so consistently misunderstood—especially when others around me had no issue being understood. If there had been a genuine communication issue, any reasonable person would have at least tried to clarify. But this particular employee seemed to have a personal issue with me, and I have no idea why.

This was my first and last visit to this location. If management actually cares about customer service, they should seriously reconsider who they put in charge of the steak station.

You get what you expect from an old establish such as this one. Cheap, tasteless, reheated food. The place is dirty. Hard working attendants just trying to make a living though.

This location is in serious need of a remodel. The atmosphere feels outdated, grimy, and uninviting, which takes away from the overall experience. It’s not an appetizing environment, and the outdated look gives off a depressing vibe. The food itself was great, but the setting didn’t match the quality. In contrast, the Concord location has a more modern feel, and its food presentation looks fresher.

While the staff here are professional and welcoming, and they clearly know their regular customers, the overall atmosphere matters just as much as good service. In 2025, a place shouldn’t still feel stuck in the early 2000s. A refresh would make a huge difference, creating a space where both the food and the experience are enjoyable.

Our server was friendly.
This location has gone downhill drastically.
Most of the food was either cold or Luke warm at best.
Missing name tags on most dishes. Steaks were pre-cooked and sitting in a pan.
The women's bathroom was out of soap, dirty, and felt like I was entering a dungeon since only half the lights were working. Chemicals were also left sitting on the floor under the sink. Broken doors that did not close. The parking lot was filthy.

Over all good experience. Restaurant was clean and not too crowded. Food was hot and never sat too long. The cooks were on it, cooking and replacing low stations almost immediately.

Can't beat it for the price. No complaints. Fried chicken, loaded baked potatoes, and stuffing keep me coming back.
