The inside is cute and the staff seems very friendly- but I unfortunately did not like the taste of anything I tried. I walked in and was offered samples, three were cookies and one was a sample of their egg nog ice cream. The flavors were not that great and just tasted kinda sugary. I was also very confused by what they sold in their dessert displays. Erasers, glasses, tea bags, slapping hands you'd get at chucky cheese.... As far as the desserts go they only have a few cookies, some American desserts like hohos or brownie pies, and a few cake assortments. Not to mention one slice of cake is $9. Unfortunately the prices and taste deterred me from purchasing anything today- which is disappointing! I wanted to like this place so bad!

I have passed by your bakery a few times and never noticed before. Because I want to see what you have in store. Plus do you make treats for dogs?

Got two things for two people and both were awful. Also the slice of cake I ordered was a two layer cake, for 8 dollars a slice and I got ONE layer of that cake, hardly any actual cake 60% of it was just too sweet frosting and missing the whole other layer of cake. If you spend 8 dollars for one slice you expect to not get half a slice. Also the chairs and tables were sticky and gross. Will not come here again.UPDATE: the person I went with AND myself are violently sick now from eating here. I called to let them know, as a courtesy for them and other customers and the lady was not very kind.

I love supporting small businesses, but sometime it gets hard to do so. I've came to this business a few times seeing if my opinion will change on it, but it never has. Walking in there, it's a busy mess with decorations and confusing menus and boxes of stuff all around. The service was pretty okay, she gave us a free sample which was pretty nice and we went ahead and ordered. I ordered an Italian Soda for $10 and waited outside. She brought it out to me and it let me tell you, it did not taste very good; kinda tasted like soap. Overall, the business has so much potential with her location and amenities inside. I think she should take some time aside to close the business and rethink the ways to work it. I believe she can do it and I hope she takes this review into consideration!

Is this for real?! I'm sorry, but I hope your business doesn't rely on local/community business. I 100% support and shop local (downtown) to keep our town alive! Walking in reminded me of my Aunt Glady's hoarding problem! I was completely unsure of what type of business I was walking into. Nothing makes sense. I live for dessert, but dessert wasn't to be found other than a couple lemon bars and something else I wasn't sure what it was. Employee behind the counter seemed less than enthusiastic I came in and felt less than welcoming. I asked about purchasing cupcakes and was told to "go order online". Personally, I think you need to rethink your business approach, shut down, hire new staff and train them properly on customer service. I will not be back and rest assured I won't be ordering online either with the I don't care attitude I got. I will take my business elsewhere in Tracy. There are more than enough businesses downtown that appreciate their customers. Not even worthy of 1 star.. SMH!

I would give a negative star for their service.I had a terrible service. It was my sons first birthday and I ordered a cake from them. It was a two tier cake and I spend $165.70 on a cake that was absolutely trash! I have never seen a cake so bad that came out of a bakery. Even grocery stores carry much batter cake than this. Very disappointing and the owner had the audacity to say that I agreed on this cake during the consult and my brother who went to pick up the cake singed it and agreed on it. I asked her to make a railroad theme cake since my sons is found of wheels on the bus. I asked her to mix vanilla and chocolate but the cake was so bad we all could feel is sugar granule. I showed her a picture while ordering the cake and it was nothing similar to that.I even paid 18% tips thinking they would make a nice and presentable cake for my sons first birthday. You are scam!!!!!The cake made my party look like a joke. Disgusting service, I never recommend anyone to go over here.Waste of my money, time and energy!

Do not order a shake or a cookie dough ball. The shakes are plain at best although the flavor is passable. The cookie dough balls could not be more awful. The consistency is disgusting, the flavors are terrible and the portion size is shameful. Please do not visit here and if you do, quickly depart.

They came through in the clutch at the last minute for my daughters 10th birthday! I had a friend cancel on me at the last minute but "I live for dessert" came through! So grateful they tasted amazing and looked amazing too! I definitely will be a repeat customer!

My wife called a few places around town looking for vegan cake options and I Live For Dessert was the only bakery that she could find that not only offered vegan options but was able to have it ready within the week. Connie took the time to explain what options she had and her recommendations. My wife ended up ordering the double layer brownie cake and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone that ate it just loved it! The text messages updates were a plus as well. We will definitely be back for our sweet tooth needs.

We got a 8 inch triamisu cake (by the way its a loaf and not 8inch diameter, I was not expecting it ) and it was awful. Also, an expensive cake ($35 for 8inch loaf cake). The cake was so dry and mouldy we threw it out. My husband picked it up the cake and he told me it was dingy and poorly maintained shop. I wanted to try a local bakery and it was extremely disappointing. I wish I could give no stars. I highly DO NOT recommend!
