Authentic Chinese restaurant. The dishes are very big, and full of taste. The service is amazing and kind. We ordered 3 dishes of chicken, and soup of the day. The prices are great as well!

I had a very bad experience today(8/18/2024-3:00 pm) though I had been going here for years since it started and enjoying their meals regularly. The water had a small cockroach 🪳 and it was reported to the waiter and the staff, no much reaction and very strange behavior. This is the first time I had this situation but very unhappy and may not come back as it was not addressed. I had a family of six including kids with me. I have pictures of it and I can share if needed.

I’ve eaten here several times and I always get the Singapore Noodles. They’re usually very delicious and FRESH. Today, they taste old like they’ve been sitting out uncovered. I called the restaurant and told them this only for “Mama” to tell me that they’re supposed to be dry and if I want them wet I have to say that. I never said anything about them needing them to be wet. Anyone who loves Singapore Noodles like I do knows that they are dry. But fresh dry noodles and old dry noodles do not taste the same. She kept talking over me and telling me that I can bring them back in so she can wet them. I don’t want these old noodles wet, I want a FRESH BATCH. As much as I usually love their food I will not be returning because arguing with a dissatisfied customer is not how you run a business. Now I have to find a new place and that should not be the case. Do better Midori and “Mama.”

I came to this place very hungry as I had not eaten since 5 pm the day before as I was sleeping and recovering from my trip to Maui.
This day was 101° outside, and they had the same sign on the door saying that the AC wasn’t working too well, which has been up for almost 2 years. I mentioned that maybe it was time to get a new AC, and the young lady who sat us down said they had just gotten one a year ago, which doesn’t make sense because you would imagine it would have a warranty with it or that they would still get a new one so that they’re customers can eat comfortably. This made me think that they probably don’t want to spend the money on the AC for their customers. It also makes me think of places I’ve seen where the cooks are sweating all over the food and wondered if their temperature in the kitchen was just as hot or hotter than it was in the restaurant.
As I am older, I mentioned that I was worried about eating in a place that warm because I’ve suffered heat related conditions in the past before, which makes one more prone to them.
They did seat me in front of a fan on the floor, so that was nice but I didn’t see any other fans for other customers.
The service was not that great once the food was served, our waitress never came not once to ask if we needed any more refills or anything else (so I didn’t really want to tip at all bc that’s not me, but I did tip $5).
I ended up drinking my daughter’s glass of water because everybody sat down to eat Including our waitress, and I felt bad getting up to ask any of them for anything, not even water.
I wasn’t sure if this is a passive aggressive behavior due to my AC comment, but I hope they are more professional than that.
Last comment was that my 18 y.o. and I agreed that the lemon chicken was dry.
The hot n sour soup was delicious and so was the fried rice. My daughter also liked her Thai tea. We loved the tomato beef.
Unsure if we’ll be back. We might give them another try. Maybe in the winter or to go.

Not the worst Chinese food I had but not the best, it was just go once kind of ok. Staff is nice though. The reason for the poor rating is my beef with their policy on charging for hot tea. I had ordered “2 hot teas” but they brought out ONE kettle containing ONE tea bag along with 2 tea cups but charged for 2 orders of teas. What if I had ordered one order of tea and shared one cup with the person I went with?? I was traveling and tired so wasn’t worth getting worked up over but if you order tea and ok with sharing a cup with the person you’re with, just order one tea.
