First time trying this place and can’t wait to go back! The staff was friendly and attentive, the bathrooms clean and the food was hot and delicious!! We all ordered an entree on the lunch menu not realizing how large the portions are! Definitely shareable! Do yourself a favor and try Midori! Yum! ◡̈
Loved the fresh food & quality of the customer service & cleanliness of the restaurant. Thank you Sincerely Sara Smothers🥰Revisited in April 18th 2025. MIDORI is The Best Chinese Food in TRACY. Nia the owners daughter was named Nia was a cheer Delight. She was s very warm professional attentive Host & server.💗The owner Mama Chin😊 Even sat down & talked with us & showed us So much Love 💕! I will be back most Fresh & Delicious food ever!
The food was good but a little pricey.
I just spoke with a lady they call Mama and let her know of a small situation I was concerned about because Joe took our appetizer order when we visited Saturday but, Victor was the one who served us the whole entire time and we ordered a lot of food on Saturday so I hope the 20% tip I left (for excellent service) did indeed go to Victor because he's the one who served us the entire time.
Don't get me wrong, Joe probably gives great service but the only thing he did was take an appetizer order from us and that was it. As a former waitress myself, we all work for tips and Victor went above and beyond to give us excellent service and I drove along way to eat there with our friend Josefina. Btw are total bill with 20% tip was $205.00 for 3 people.
Also one final note, Victor is an excellent coworker because I did tell him I can change the tip to cash when I saw Joe's name on the receipt but he said, don't worry about it. We split the tips so I ho
Also one final note, Victor is an excellent coworker because I did tell him I can change the tip to cash when I saw Joe’s name on the receipt but he said, don’t worry about it. We split the tips so I hope that is the case because I’ll be very disappointed if he didn’t get his tip.
Clean restaurant!
Great service!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Phenomenal Experience!
Midori Fine Asian Cuisine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by Mama, whose incredible hospitality made us feel like honored guests. Her attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care for every customer set this place apart—she truly goes above and beyond to make the dining experience unforgettable.
And the food? Absolutely divine! Every dish arrived hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The Sichuan beef was perfectly tender with just the right amount of heat, while the salt and pepper ribs were crispy, savory, and addictively delicious. The Hong Kong-style noodles were a delightful balance of texture and umami, and the Sichuan garlic green beans were a perfect side—crisp, garlicky, and packed with flavor. The appetizer platter was a fantastic way to start, offering a variety of bites that showcased the kitchen’s skill, and the pork shu mai was delicate, juicy, and full of rich, savory goodness.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere and ambiance are simply lovely—warm lighting, elegant décor, and a relaxing, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger and savor every moment. Whether you’re here for a cozy dinner, a family gathering, or a special occasion, Midori delivers impeccable service, outstanding food, and an overall experience that leaves a lasting impression.
This is hands-down one of the best Asian dining experiences I’ve had. Thank you, Mama, and the entire team at Midori for such an exceptional evening. We’ll definitely be back—again and again!
Ordered Spicy General Tso chicken and it was so sweet like orange chicken not at all spicy. Garlic noodles also don’t even have a hint of garlic. So disappointing to have this for the dinner everything was so sweet including noodles.
1/25/25 first time here I was impressed by Joe and Victor Customer Service greeted at the door seated immediately clean bathroom, clean restaurant and food was freshly made hot. You could tell that it was flavorful and made with love because lol I didn’t have no indigestion I will be coming back the pricewas reasonable and it put a smile on my wife’s face. See pictures.
Fast, great service and food was beyond delicious.
We had lunch here today for the first time. Occasional was for my birthday. Our host Joe, the food and service was awesome. They gave me complimentary birthday Sake shot, dessert dumplings, and a birthday serenade. The food was great. Restaurant atmosphere inviting and clean. I had the best birthday lunch ever.

Midori Restaurant was a massive disappointment. The portion sizes were an absolute joke—barely enough to feed a child, let alone an adult. I ordered several dishes hoping to feel full, but each plate looked like a sampler rather than a proper meal. It felt like a rip-off, plain and simple.
To make matters worse, the prices were outrageous. How can a place charge that much for so little food? It’s like they’re banking on the ambiance alone to justify the cost because the value certainly isn’t in the portions or quality. The flavors were mediocre at best—nothing special, nothing memorable, and definitely not worth the exorbitant cost.Save your money and go somewhere else. Unless you enjoy leaving a restaurant hungry and broke, Midori is not the place for you. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.
Well, as an avid Chinese foodie, I must say that I was very much so disappointed in my visit with midori, I ordered a large hot and sour soup as well as garlic string beans. The “large soup” was disappointing. Not only was the cup extremely small but it wasn’t filled all the way. Not to mention way too salty. That was my first disappointment. Secondly my garlic green beans were a disappointment because I paid 13 dollars for a half filled container that barely had any green beans. I cannot lie to you about this. Not to mention all of this came out to 27 dollars. I was extremely dissatisfied and went inside to let them know that my “large” soup was that of a kids portion. The man at the front register told me that’s our large size. Fine. That’s a large, but most Chinese restaurants fill up to the brim which they did not. I will not come back to this establishment untill they get their portions right.
Mama Chin is a very lovely person and the food is great. Ambience is also very good. My favorite Asian restaurant in Tracy
**Room for Improvement**
We recently tried a new Asian restaurant in our neighborhood and had a mixed experience. We ordered the chicken fried rice, pot stickers, and cashew nut chicken.
Pot Stickers: Unfortunately, these were a letdown. The skin was too thick, which made them less enjoyable.
Cashew Nut Chicken: This dish was overly salty, and the gravy just didn't taste right.
Chicken Fried Rice: This was the highlight for my kid, but it was quite bland overall.
While the fried rice was decent for my child, the other dishes didn't quite hit the mark. We're hopeful the restaurant can improve their recipes as they settle in.
The most authentic and delicious Asian food I’ve ever had, everything came super hot and fresh, tons of flavor, amazing friendly service, highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
