I had a reservation for a Sunday @ 6pm. It was completely dead in that place, but what could you expect for Sunday early evening. Only one other family was there. My party was seated promptly.Let's get straight to it. Food - A+. Drinks: FThe chef was a great chap. Engaging, cooked the food excellent. He wasn't doing any wild benihana acrobats with his tools, but a little. Fun to see. The kids at the next table over seemed to enjoy it. Anyhow, great cook. Food was delicious. Large portions too.The drink menu. Save your money and just get a water/soda. The drink menu is something from the 80's. The waitress was/is the bartender. I double she knows many drinks and possibly just follows some guide behind the counter to make the menu drinks only. For example - I asked for a gin & tonic. My drink was 99% tonic. Let's try a simple vodka martini. It was 90% vermouth and the olives looked like they died last year. Poor drink had no chance. Waste of money. Save your money & have a drink at home. My bill (w/tip) was almost $150 (4 drinks). Those drinks were totally not worth the money spent. This is a nice restaurant. I imagine it's really hopping on Friday/Saturday night. They have karaoke. I understand it's been under new management. Great. Kick it up a notice with a new drink menu. You'll attract more families (mom/dad who enjoy a nice cocktail) and 40+ crowd that know their drinks. Your current drink menu belongs in the cocktail graveyard of the 80's and 90's.Kid-friendliness: It's kid (family) friendly.Parking: Tons of parking. That strip mall is dead except for a few suites that still get customers.

Horrible customer service, my table of 5 came into the restaurant on a Friday at 8:50pm, the restaurant closes at 9:30pm.I was told by the hostess that I could only get a ToGo order or sit at a regular table and not the flat stove section with the chef because they said the last table they sit in that section was at 8:45pmSo my son could not celebrate his birthday because they refused to seat us due to being 5 minutes past their cut off time. That’s absolutely horrible customer service. We will not be returning.

Excellent food and service! We celebrated our friends birthday with his family and truly enjoyed the experience of the chef cooking the food in front of you. Definitely recommend to anyone. We no longer have to go out of town for an amazing hibachi dinner! ?

Had a birthday celebration for our 30 year old Son. Our experience was excellent… the food and service. It’s a family owned business where the cook has 23 years experience which resulted in him buying the place. Only a few months into the ownership, he is doing well with consistent food and repeat customers. No worries that you are going to get a different cook every time. He is the only cook who knows what he’s doing. He even has a signature garlic butter. In fact, he makes everything. Not some chain restaurant that uses mass production food from who knows where. Anyway, give it a shot. It could become your fav.

This place is horrible Miso soup taste like water, and so does the tea. Don’t waste your money on their sushi. Safeway sushi is way better.Parking: That’s the only good thing their was parking.

All I can say is that you can't compare it to Benihana's from Cupertino. This was okay... for being in Tracy. We came to visit family and wanted to try something different and we gave this place a shot. The place is dark and felt run down, the shopping plaza is dead. We had a reservation and were the first customers for dinner. Got seated got out drinks and we waited...and waited.... Finally, it was show time. Our cook was ok tried to entertain but wasn't good at all. But it's ok, it's about the food...We all ordered pretty much the same to be safe I guess and ordered chicken, shrimp and fried rice. The rice was good not salty a plus for me, the rest was meh lacked flavor. Would I come back? No, at this time, and I did hear it's under new ownership so maybe it needs feedback and time. We'll see what the locals have to say in the future. 3 stars for trying.

Came here with the family and srvice on front desk was lacking. The lady in front wasn't welcoming. The whole place is very run down. It's like Benihana on a C rating scale. The chief and owner was nice but the food was ok. It's run by a Hispanic family. For our meal, two adults and two small children, I think $120 was overpriced. We only order two sets, too. I didn't expect great food, but the lack of hygiene at this place makes it hard to enjoy the food. My seat was all taped up, just to give you an idea how rundown it is. We were the only other family besides another. It's a one and done for us, unfortunately.

After years of avoiding, once one of our favorite places, due to poor service, uncleanliness, bad service, and food, we returned. Our daughter told us new people had bought Musashi. She booked a 10th year Birthday dinner for Grandson Dylan. Glad to say Musashi , is back! Clean, great service from the time you walk through the door, until you leave. Dinner was wonderful our dinner was cooked by Manny, (The owner), Everything was spot on including one of the best Teppanyaki experiences in a long time. We had 8 in our party and everyone loved this Great place once again. Go there it's great! Thank you Manny and crew, for a memorable, wonderful, experience. We will be back soon!
