I don’t even need to finish my food to give this place 5 stars. The staff is so friendly and the food is on point. I ordered the Mississippi and my son got the chicken and waffles. First time here but won’t be our last time. Delicious!

We enjoy the atmosphere of a big family all eating together. My wife and I had a great time on our first experience.

Excellent food, excellent service. The atmosphere was very... family. That's the only way to describe it.
Going back will be a pleasure.

Great family restaurant. All the locals are recognized immediately. Just a short wait for a booth. Staff is so sweet and the food was wonderful. I will definitely come back when a trip brings me nearby@

I visted the new Arlington Texas location today for lunch and I was immediately disappointed by turning into the parking lot because of the big pot holes. Why wouldn't you fix that 1st. Secondly, their front door is located near Babes trash dumpster and the smell was terrible. Who wants to inhale the unpleasant smell of trash prior to entering a restaurant to eat, it definitely can cause someone to lose their appetite. I would suggest that management speak with Babes and have some type of deodorizer sprayed to improve the smell. Despite this, i still gave them a try. I was pleasantly greeted at the door and decided to order to go. I found menu prices to be decent even though some items were costly. I choose the shrimp po boy & fries. The order was received quickly and the food presentation was great. The sandwich was loaded with shrimp and topped with lettuce (too much), pickles, tomatoes and some type of dressing on toasted bread. The sandwich was so full that you couldn't close the bread without eating some of the shrimp. The fries were hot and had seasoning sprinkled on them. The shrimp was seasoned well and tasted good but the fries were just ok. Overall the meal was good and I was satisfied with paying 17 dollars after tax. The food was good but the dumpster smell was a complete turnoff and will keep me from returning until something is done. I still would suggest giving them a try because the food and service was good. They also made me feel welcomed.

We had brunch. The portions were large but lacked taste. The service was good and the ambience was nice. Not likely to visit again.

My food was wonderful! The waitress did not seem very happy, no small talk or warm vibes from her, but she did her job and efficiently. She was not at any point rude. She just did her job and even offered to let me sample the sauce from a seasonal dish that she had recommended to me, which is very kind of her. Food came out fresh and hot, and my coffee cup never emptied. I had the Fried Chicken Benedict, ordered it with poached eggs, country style red potatoes and extra sauce. I would definitely recommend the place and the dish as well

They have no senior menu which all the others in Modesto and Salida do. They said no senior menu but they give a senior discount. Paid for the break fast they diligent had all that the bayou breakfast has minus the bacon. Even with discount it’s a little more expensive.

The waitress was nice and my family of 3 was satisfied with her service.
However, I ate here by myself a month ago and had an amazing breakfast experience only to bring my family by a month later and have a greasy, cornstarchy meal. I vouched for them to my wife and was embarrassed by how unpleasant the food was. Maybe there was a different chef on in the clock or maybe mistakes were made that day but one thing is for sure, we had to pay the price. $70 down the drain and we won't be going back to this location. Too unpredictable.
