Do not buy senorita bread from this place. Based off of previous reviews I thought it would be good. The bread was dry without any butter on it. It looked like they took Pilsbury crescent rolls and put way too much cinnamon and sugar on top of it and called senorita bread. They’re were two young people in there, one working the counter and one in the back. The customer service was subpar and they didn’t acknowledge you. They used slabs and lacked professionalism. I found another place that is phenomenal but not this place. Hopefully they read these reviews and improve on the quality of their product and their customer service.

Was this place bought out? Usually it’s the same sweet Filipino ladies that work there. This time it was a young Punjabi girl who was not friendly or acknowledge that I walked in the door. Stopped in today to grab a 30 piece, menu posted on the TV menu behind the counter read $15. I go to pay, the cash register reads (because she doesn’t even tell me verbally how much my total was) $18?? I ask her why am I being charged $3 more. She then turns around looks up at the TV and says “oh that’s the wrong screen” grabs the TV remote and switches to a screen that looks the same but with higher different prices. I wish I would’ve took a photo. I just didn’t think fast enough. I said to her then, “you’re going to honor the $15 price right”? She said “I don’t know how to do that”. I asked to speak to her manager, she said he’s not here. On top of that the bread was definitely different then in the past some of them were so hard and dry we didn’t even eat them, definitely seem different almost like it didn’t have the gooey sticky sauce/butter that is typically covering the bottoms. They were really dry and made a mess when you would bite into them. Definitely not worth $18 and we will not be back. It seems to me that the ownership and possibly recipe or cutbacks have changed, the señorita bread we’ve had in the past was always fresh, hot, super soft and ooey gooey.
Another thing to mention is when I pulled up the sign that usually would say star bread was painted over. I do know that they share the inside of the store with pop drinks and wondered if they were even still in business. Once I walked in I saw the TV menu and saw that they were. It seems like they’ve changed ownership as to why the prices, recipe/cut back and sign our painted over.

im tired of them always closing early there website says is open when u get there the sign says open but when u go inside they put a sign in the cashier saying there close see u standing there and they just inside the kitchen there always closing early im tired of it.

I’m sorry they’re closed until seven. I start work in Modesto at seven. Google said that they were open so I am a little disappointed because I have a big meeting to go to and I don’t have any star bread to sweeten the deal. The bread is really delicious and the service too.

Absolutely no customer service in this place. They don't even acknowledge you. Not a "I'll be with you in a minute" NOTHING... then they go to the back n don't come out several minutes later and still won't acknowledge customers... bread is bomb though... they only friendly n smiles when you are in front of them...
Friendly service. Cute little shop. Love the señorita bread ? it’s so delicious when it’s warm and fresh. I would love to come back and try their boba. 10/10 will return.
Parking: Could be difficult to find parking on a busy day.
Not what I expected from the view outside. But once inside, all of my trepidation subsidies as the nicest lady helped me.
