Stayed here for the 4th of july with some buddies, the swimming hole was awesome and the wine was good. The lake is about a 20 minute drive. only downside was no cell service and the campfire barrel was pretty small. Had a great time and the owner is very kind! I highly recommend coming here.

I recently had the pleasure of renting out Alpen Cellars, a beautiful winery nestled in a stunning Trinity County, for a party, and it was an experience to remember. The picturesque vineyard, coupled with the serene ambiance, made it the perfect setting for a wonderful and romantic getaway.
The winery itself is breathtaking, with lush grapevines stretching as far as the eye can see and a charming rustic elegance that permeates the entire property. The staff at Alpen Cellars went above and beyond to ensure that our party was a success, providing exceptional service and making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our stay.
After the festivities, we retired to their glamping tents, which added a unique and adventurous touch to our experience. The tents were well-appointed and offered all the comforts of home while allowing us to stay connected with nature. Falling asleep with creature comforts while waking up to the gentle sounds of nature was truly magical.
We also rented out the campground, which provided a private and cozy space for our group. The campground was well-maintained and offered amenities that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was the perfect setting for intimate gatherings around the campfire, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories.
Overall, our experience at Alpen Cellars was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of the stunning winery, luxurious glamping tents, and charming campground created a wonderful and romantic atmosphere that we will cherish forever. If you are looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway, I highly recommend Alpen Cellars.

Absolutely beautiful location with incredible views! Wine maker is very nice and knowledgeable. He gave us a tour and we did a tasting. The Blaufrankisch was a new varietal that we had never tried before and it was very good. Highly recommend making the trip out there!

Million dollar views. Keith is a win making master. Don't go expecting pristine buildings. They have a lot of "character".

Keith makes so many varieties. Great Chardonnay, Syrah and Port.

Bit of a drive out of Redding, but worth it! More wonderful, locally grown and produced wines. Best white wines in the North State.

My parents did work here while I was growing up and it is so fun to visit now as an adult. Delicious and unusual varieties.

I highly endorsed their 2017 Alpen Cellars Pinot, I don't usually like pinot but this is really balanced, light, fruity and scaled down to what I think is the best value Pinot for the money served today. I have had friends say to me, "Trinity County, come on!" I bought another bottle today. :) Whoohooo! Happy Thanksgiving folks.

We have been going here once a year (while camping for a week in Trinity), for 12+ years. We bring cheese and crackers to have while tasting. It's our favorite place to visit. The owner, Keith, wife and family are very nice and wonderful people.

Great wines, great setting and great people running the vineyard. Jefferson State Wine is why we went being we are great supporters of Jefferson, but now we are also supporters of Alpen Cellars.
