Do not go to hard on them. Making good food here.
I was at the drive through and opened the app to find an $8 off of a family meal. I selected redeem. Told the employee of the coupon and the deal and he informed me to double check if it was online only. I left the coupon to go back to main screen to see and confirmed I can use it at drive through. When I went to window to click on coupon again it gave me an error saying I could only use one coupon a day. I explained the situation to the employee who said unfortunately there wasn’t anything I can do about it but he could offer me 10% off. On principle I refused.
Couple things. This probably happens to customers ALL THE TIME. Fix your app! It shouldn’t cause this issue. The app should register that the coupon was scanned. In the us case it was never scanned.
Stores need to have a contingency plan for this. It’s FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. I went to the window thinking I was getting $8 off my meal, not $3 dollars. And to be honest, I would have ordered an 8 piece meal, not 12, if I didn’t have the coupon.
Lastly, don’t put that burden on your employees. They are trying their best, being instructed by management to probably do this. This puts them in a position to get into struggles with customers which might escalate unnecessarily. Do you really want to put your employees in this predicament on a consistent basis?

There are a lot of disgruntal employees at this location and the chicken is consistently burned or overcooked. Bad management and quality control. Will not comeback to this Pollo Loco.

$5 pollo bowls is insane value, and very tasty and fresh. Not a fan of most the menu but you literally cannot beat this. Their Steak is fantastic as well, particularly in burrito form.
