I am honestly very disappointed. I had high expectations for this $28 shrimp and octopus cocktail. Tasteless, aside from the excess lemon imitation juice ( very sour), plenty of cucumber and diced tomato( bad), lack of shrimp and only a few specs of octopus (ridiculous). I don’t know why this place is called Chikali (Mexicali)the cooks have never eaten fresh tasty seafood in Baja… Do not throw your money away!!You’re better off eating at a fast food place, at least the food’s taste is consistent.

This place is the perfect example of mediocrity! The service is terrible, the waitress is rude and does not pay attention to the orders. The food is over-priced for what you get. I ordered a shrimp cocktail and got Pico de gallo in tomato juice with very little shrimp. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Nachos looked really good.But there was no flavor the meat taste like fresh meat.I didn’t tell the waitress right away that I didn’t like it. So when I told her it was too late and they still made me pay for it.Waitress was rude and I wasn’t even being rude to her about it.Never would go here again. $14 went to waste.Rate this place 0/10

Dirtiest place I’ve ever been to. Table condiments are disgusting without a lid to hot sauce & chili is all dried up. Fish tacos are drowned with a yellow sauce that overwhelmingly taste like your sucking lemon straight out of the straw. Waitress has her hair flying all over the place. Only ceiling fans so it was incredibly stuffy. This place needs a health inspection.

Very old school scenery here, restaurant lay out could be better perhaps some new tables. I do prefer the plastic cups because I like to take some ice home with me after sometimes or left over drinks but you can’t usually do it at restaurants because of their glass. Love the sauce for the tacos and militias. Wasn’t a huge fan of their chips and salsa salsa but the chips were great I ate them plain. The servings were great, the Mulita was great, the shrimp also great, the tacos were even better. Was it more oily than I’m used to 100% but I still love the fact that their food is flavorful. Their presentation isn’t the best but the flavor is what you need to cling to here. Great potential I am absolutely excited to see where they go. Hopefully make some improvements to this place get some more attention going. (If you usually get meat stuck in your teeth please take some floss picks)

It's not to bad of a place to eat if there's nothing else open in Tulare. However if you have a family it's not family friendly. This is a more young loud crowd. If your young and loud it's for you. The service isn't there. I won't be going back anytime soon. Service was beyond horrible. This is a ghetto restaurant. I don't recommend this place at all. The menus don't have prices in them and the tacos are beyond loaded with onion and cabbage. There's hardly any meat or shrimp. I don't recommend the shrimp tacos. There not good.
Great Food, Short on staff but overall the owner is very attentive.

WORST service!! Was told my order would be ready in 20 to 30 minutes to pick up and its been past an hour and I'm still waiting at Tulare location. Got the food and my Aguachile is mainly onions and super salty. SMH. So much for a nice birthday dinner.

I'm from out of state and came here because my cousin recommended it, and wow oh wow! Man was it absolutely delicious the flavor of every dish we ordered for everyone of my family members was perfect! I will definitely come here again I don't say delicious with food much but this place yea the food is amazing and the food presentation was awesome as well overall it was a great experience! Definitely give this place more love y'all! ????
