My wife had the French onion smash burger special with hand cut fries and it was heaven. I had the buffalo fries - fantastic with proper buffalo sauce. Milk shake was great also. Check Facebook page for today’s specials - they also bake sourdough bread. Best meal on our Tahoe-Lassen-Lava Beds National Monument camping trip. Stop here for food before Klamath!

What a great family-run small-town burger shop! I was a little reluctant at first to pay $13 for a cheeseburger but this was NOT just a cheeseburger!! As it turned out there was a special so it was only $10 and a soda was included - but guys, it would have been well worth $13. I got 2 kids' burgers for $6 each, and when the food came out there was way more than my 3 kids and I could eat! The kid's burger would put a Big Mac or a Whopper to shame in any comparison and comes with a mountain of mouthwatering steakhouse style fries, and the regular burger is huge and also comes with a mountain of fries. Everything is fresh - thick slices of juicy tomatoes, quality burger patties, freshly toasted buns, choice of cheese, actually green lettuce, and those to die for hand cut fries - just good, simple, homemade food. I was greeted by the owner's son and daughter, who were probably 4 and 6, and they were very attentive to bring my kids coloring books, toy cars, and markers to sign the wall. Their dad was very friendly taking our order and I loved that his kids were helping him with seating customers. Our order came promptly and accurately and everything was absurdly delicious. My 12 year old asked if he could have some horseradish and the owner offered to give him 2 kinds to try and a very generous amount. The little girl came back after we got our food to ask how everything was and melted my heart. And she invited my daughter to go draw with sidewalk chalk out front. If you want a home town American burger experience this is it!
