I don't get it. Everyone raves like children at recess about this place but it's literally the worst Mexican food I've ever had. And this is in an area populated with so many of some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. And I used to live in New Mexico.

This place is such a gem. If you go make sure and check out the bar, it’s in the back and a hidden surprise I was not expecting. The food is absolutely wonderful. The workers were so respectful of my dietary restrictions. I had queso, and a vegetarian fajita. Every bite I took was better than the last. The drive through the country to get here is absolutely beautiful.

Our first visit to Senior Tequila. Everything was delicious and wasn't just your typical Mexican restaurant fare. They were super accommodating with my wife's dietary restrictions. We highly recommend a stop here if you are in the general area!

What a hidden gem! Having lived in Southern California my whole life and being spoiled by an abundance of tasty Mexican food, Señor Tequila has some of the BEST Mexican I’ve ever had! I highly recommend the chile verde! The pork is super flavorful and soft and the chile is *chef’s kiss* I literally felt like I was eating my mom’s food, I couldn’t believe it. The rice and beans were delicious too. If you’re ever in the area, I HIGHLY suggest you stop by and grab something to eat here.
I recommend the ala carte carne asada street tacos. I wasn't satisfied with my Huevos Mexicano scramble. It had a chorizo taste even though there isn't any chorizo in the description on the menu. I'm almost certain my dish was scrambled in chorizo fat. I'm not a vegetarian, so I finished my meal.

Surprisingly good, after a day of caving in the lava beds national park eating here was the best; the atmosphere felt very hom-y, the food was delicious and the service was even better. We had the Tequila Special, choriqueso and the mariscada which had a lot of seafood :) Highly recommended

In an area where any restaurant is hard to find, sits this little gem of a family Mexican restaurant. Don't hold the location against them, however; Senor Tequila could hold its own in any large city! The food is outstanding! The service is just enough. Someone, likely a family member, is there if you need them, but they are not constantly interrupting your conversation. Prices are just right for the area. Honestly, staying afloat in this rural area can't be easy, but the quality of the food, excellence of the menu, and hometown ambiance makes it the easy number one choice for locals and passers-by alike, those who know it is there, at any rate. I would confidently recommend Senor Tequila to anyone who loves Mexican food. Look out for their green sauce, though, unless you like it spicy! For whimps like me, salsa roja is the way to go!
