Did an order over the phone for 6 BEEF rib racks, was called less than 30 mins before pick up saying their was a miscommunication about the type of ribs and the fee; I had given some payment upfront and was disappointed to hear that the person who took my order gave me the wrong price for the ribs and claimed to hear that I ordered pork instead of beef.

I have followed Vic's on instagram for at least 3 years. Food pictures always look amazing. So today had the chance to go to Turlock and see for myself. What a let down. 2 people -$47 no drinks and not a pickle in sight!!! Yet they are shown in pics on instagram? The sides were terrible. Mac n cheese nothing special. beans horrible and potato salad blah. A MISS on all three and didn't even get 1/4 way on any of them. Tossed. The tri tip was ok Brisket was fair and ribs just down right horrible. Decided to not risk dessert as much as I wanted to try the banana pudding cup. Soooooo disappointed and really regret the waste of time to drive there and $$$ (meal) that ended up in the trash can outside. Our first clue should have been there was no one there at 12:30 ? The place was dead. Now I see why. The dipping sauce was good though.

Everyone was super friendly. I had the brisket sandwich and my daughter had brisket meal. With Mac n cheese. Everything was great. Some of the most tender brisket I’ve ever had. Sides were good, and BBQ sauce is on point.

The food and service sucked, meat was raw very uncooked, potato salad tasted like a kid made it. Wasnt worth the $40.....I dont reccomend this place. Better off driving to Doc's BBQ in Modesto......You guys SUCK BIG TIME!!!!!!
I'm always down for BBQ food, always hard to find some other than cooking your own. I was working near by and seen them on Yelp with mixed reviews I decided to try them. As I walked in I was greeted and I placed my order 1 meat combo (brisket & brisket beans) and I also ordered a jalapeño cheese sausage. I was thinking about ordering the tri-tip but I didn't see a smoke ring as he was slicing for another customer. I asked what kind of wood and they said today was Almond, but sometimes oak. Not sure why they rotate. The last time I had BBQ in Texas it was either pecan, oak or both. The brisket had a smoke ring not very much smoke penetration. Was not seasoned well and the slices were cut too thick. It was juicy but lacked flavor, luckily I asked for a side of BBQ Sauce. The beans definitely had brisket and sausage in it. It's more of a chili or soup. Not sweet as other baked beans, but has a kick. So overall the beans were ok. The jalapeño cheese sausage was good, cheese oozing out and you could taste the smoky flavor. Staff were super nice. Seating outside plenty of tables. I took my order to go. Other clients were offered pickles and onions, assuming that was for sandwich orders only, not sure I didn't get any or was asked if I wanted.

First time at big vics. Wow more than met my expectations! We got the brisket, pulled pork, tri tip, and pork ribs. All were really good but to me, the brisket stole the show. Good smoke ring, seasoned well, coupled with the bbq sauce-wow! It took me a couple bites to decide if i liked the mac n cheese. It wasnt the usual american cheese / cheddar cheese glop. After a couple bites i realised i was really enjoying the unique taste. Like everything else in this place, the beans were unique as well. The onions still had a little crunch left in them, not being cooked away to softness. The beans had a little kick in them and were at the very upper end of what i prefer, but i dont care for much heat. Best bbq ive had in a very long time. I cant wait to try them again.

The brisket was too fatty. The pulled pork was too greasy with no flavor. Worst by far was the Mac and cheese, it was so salty it was inedible. Really wanted to like this place since there’s no other bbq options around but was highly disappointed.
