The burgers with the cheese skirt... omg! I had the Royale with cheese. Delicious! And the fries were bomb too! Cool little place very casual and laid back. I will go back again ! I need to try the Dwayne Rock Johnson burger next! 😋

Not what I expected, food was not great, sauces at the table had mold in the bottles, restaurant was cold, they do not service your table, I guess if you want a refill of soda or coffee you have to go back up to the counter, they are more focused on the bar and serving the beers

We typically come to the Turlock location, but have been to Modesto a few times as well. The food and drinks are delicious. This place is a fun, light atmosphere and a great place to meet up with friends. I like ordering at the counter, instead of being waited on, especially for groups of people. Seating is first come, first serve so at busy times it can be tricky, but there is in and out door seating. Highly recommend Commonwealth.
Vegetarian options: Any sandwich can be swapped for grilled veggies. It's delicious!

The chicken Cesar salad was delicious!! It filled me up surprisingly. My husband got a burger and fries and he said it was good. The ONLY thing I will rate bad is.. the flies. We sat indoors and right when we received our food, we got swarmed. We couldn’t enjoy our food fully because we were swatting away about 5 flies the entire time. It was so annoying. But other than the flies, the food and my mango peach lemonade was delicious.

Food is good but the beer selection is the reason to come here! So many good beers on tap. You go up and order beer rather than being serves at your table (only reason I rated 3 on service because not really much to rate) and the downtown atmosphere brings its own charm for downtown Turlock. Great place to grab great beers. They fill growlers too!

It was a nice atmosphere, we sat outside. Ordered burger, good but very greasy, dripping from burger ( u can see in pic) I had club sandwich, it was average. But loved the bacon was crispy and bun toasted. Fries were yummy and salad good. Staff were ok.

My personal experience was quite great. Went with the wifey, we both loved it. Price wasn't exactly cheap, but what do you expect in today's economy. Delicious food, the cashier/server was great; very polite and friendly. Wait was not bad at all. Would recommend
Food was quite good but the service was horrible! The guy that ‘served’ us obviously didn’t want to be there nor did he seem to like people. Unfortunately when you go in, you pay & tip at the same time. I’d HIGHLY suggest not tipping until after you’ve eaten. He didn’t even have to fake being friendly to get a tip. (We ate there for lunch on Easter Sunday.) We SERIOUSLY wish we could’ve gotten every penny of our tip back! The owner needs to SERIOUSLY re-evaluate his employees & especially the male server. He should not be in any type of job that deals with people. Also, my friend asked for his elder father’s cup of coffee to be refilled & the ‘server’ pointed back & told him to ‘go get it’. Not only was he incredibly rude but we found out that he had to pay for another cup of coffee.We won’t be going back unless it’s To Go, but then we also don’t want to support a business where we’re not treated with any respect!

Appetizer came out after the entrees ? they were out of onion rings and we weren't informed when ordering a burger with onion rings. Service was slow. I'd eat anywhere else but here if I'm downtown
