My significant other brought me here for my birthday dinner and let me tell you EVERYTHING WAS PHENOMENAL! Our steaks were the best we’ve ever had and thats across multiple states! The bone marrow butter was delicious! Our appetizer was so yummy, the bacon, heavenly! Our deserts were so good my blue collar hubby was salivating! I highly recommend!!
Save your money just go to Texas road house you will be far more satisfied by the steak there By far one of the worst steaks I have ever had the displeasure of eating the cut of steak was terrible. The side where good and the desert was delicious. But the thing you come to a steak house for is the steak and it was by far over priced for the quality of what was received.
I don’t usually leave reviews like this. Running a restaurant can’t be easy and I love to support small businesses, but my experience here was disappointing. My friends and I were confronted about not tipping enough, which felt unprofessional and inappropriate, especially since tipping is not mandatory.
My friends, who frequent here and typically tip generously, invited us out to dine as a group of five. While the food was good, the service didn’t live up to expectations. Despite the restaurant not appearing busy, we were barely attended to, and it took over an hour before we were even asked to order our entrées. To make matters worse, our menus were taken away before we had the chance to place our orders. The wait times were unacceptable, and while the ribeye was tasty, it lacked any real effort in presentation.
Given the lackluster service, we tipped 5%. It wasn’t an extraordinary experience, and we planned to make up for it by tipping well at the speakeasy afterward, where the drinks are exceptional and truly the highlight of this place.
However, when we went to order drinks, we were told our dinner tip was “insufficient” and handed the tab to adjust it before we could continue. This was shocking, uncalled for, and frankly, ruined the entire evening. My girlfriend and I decided to leave and will not be returning.
I have no issue tipping 18% or more when the service, and overall experience warrants it—and it usually does—but this place was an exception. If a specific gratuity percentage is expected, it should be made a requirement upfront. 🤷♂️
First time here. We ordered ribeye and Filet manion, with the Bone marrow butter, the fried Brussel sprouts, loaded mash potatoes, the carrots in brown sugar and honey, and a half cuts salad. Salad was fresh, all the sides were good, and carrots were really good. Our hostess who seated us was amazing. She took care of our drinks, brought our food out to us, boxed up my left overs, she really rocked! Our waiter was a nice guy! It was quit and relaxing, not noisy at all. Very clean.
Never sat down to eat. They asked if we had a reservation, and we said no. There were 2 tables in the whole place with people sitting. They told us it would be a 20 - to 25-minute wait. What?? There's no one here I thought to myself. They told us we could wait in the bar. Wanting us to buy drinks Im sure. We took a look at the menu and everything was sold separately.( Meat, sides) We decided to go elsewhere. Never again.
Steak was very delicious.
The Cut Steak House in Turlock states "Cuts is the perfect destination in Turlock for exceptional steaks and an incredible dining experience."
We had an experience tonight with the worst steak ever. Tough, dry and tasteless. When we were asked how our meal was, we explained that the meat was unsatisfactory. The waiter offered to discuss it with the chef and management when he came back to the table. He told us that particular steak is just tough sometimes and management chooses not to adjust the bill or replace the steak. This was definitely not an incredible dining experience as they advertise on their website In addition management was schooling our waitress in a booth just within hearing his message lasted for over 30 minutes. Very unprofessional for the customers to be part of a dispute/discipline session. Oh yah, Merry Christmas, ho ho ho! This was not what my husband and I had in mind for our dinner tonight.
We reserved a table for 12 for my moms birthday 2 weeks in advance. We were forced to put down a $300 deposit, which will go to the actual tab of our dinner. Fine.
The night of the dinner comes and after we order our drinks, we are told they are out of both sirloin and ribeye……… absolutely ridiculous. The fact that you are a STEAKHOUSE named CUTS and ur out of 2 of the main cuts is ridiculous.. their excuse is that it was the sous chef’s last night and he was just very unprepared.. their way of apologizing was offering us a couple free appetizers.. again, ridiculous.
We go to order and THEN they tell us they only have 4 New York steaks left also. Soooooo I had a salad for dinner. I would never come back again.

Food was slow getting to table, took 2 1/2 hours before we got our good.

Usually me and my husband love this place. We love the food and always have good service, but this time around that we came for our anniversary things didn’t go as planned . :( We always make a reservation online and request a booth. We have NEVER had an issue with this. This time around we did. We came in and were seated in between the bar and the booths right in the middle and felt so awkward with bright lights and felt like everyone was looking at us. This is why we like a booth. There were two empty booths but they said those were reserved. We had a reservation too and it was not honored unfortunately. They told us sometimes the system will move it around to call next time, but this is the first time we ever had an issue. They didn’t move us to a booth instead they offered a complimentary glass of champagne but we declined and decided to leave. We didn’t wanna spend over $300 to not feel comfortable where we were sitting.

Emily was hands down the best waitress, she went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner memorable. Our food was delicious with generous portions. I believe the price is equal to quality and quantity of food. Can’t say enough about Emily’s service and whoever was on the grill that night. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. Will be returning again.

The restaurant really had a bad night. The sous chef was overwhelmed in the kitchen. He was not able to manage the rest of the kitchen staff to the point product being sent out was inferior they ruined a tomahawk steak they ruin the ribeye they weren't able to bring people their order. Even after 2 hours. Okay the kitchen had a bad night. What could have prevented it was the manager that was working that night he was a server trying to manager a restaurant without much experience. They were comping most tickets in some way. What he should have done to help the kitchen staff was to limit the amount of people that they were seating. The restaurant was only about 50% full, but the kitchen staff couldn't handle that. Instead of losing most of their clientele for the night forever they should have limited or canceled reservations that they had in the future for that night. We've been here about a dozen times and never had an issue with the food. Yes we've waited 2 hours for the food but it always came out hot and right. The main chef is working at an alternate restaurant tonight. I am also a business owner but not in the restaurant field. Early on in my career I had worked at a restaurant. But look this is not McDonald's. When your kitchen staff is overbooked and understaffed limit your reservations. Yes the server should have made sure that all the food was all up at the same time. Instead of allowing half the table to eat the other half of the table sits and watches until their food is brought out. I asked the manager on duty what should I do in the future call down and ask how busy the kitchen staff is. He said no just assume they are. I recommend you only go there during the week. You might ask who is the manager and who is the chef tonight. Is it the real manager and is it the real chef. We might try them in the future but it will not be on Saturday. The kitchen just had a bad night. So the whole restaurant had a bad night. I really feel for you guys I hope you get it all together.

Delicious!!! My first time going here. Had a date night with my hunnay and we wanted a good ol steak. We made reservations, arrived a bit early we were greeted upon entry and was seated. The staff was very friendly , always checking if we needed anything. The food was amazing 👏 portion sizes were great! I recommend one side for each plate. I enjoyed my evening ☺️ It's located in a nice area in downtown Turlock. I will definitely recommend this steakhouse.
