I eat at Huckleberry’s at least twice a month, today however my experience was not good to the point that I did not leave a tip and feel terrible about that. I went in around noon on Sunday, I knew it would be busy. I signed in for one and was told it would be a 10 minute wait. I sat there roughly 10 minutes. Two ladies came in signed in. Apparently they knew one of the waitress and were seated a few minutes later even though I was there before them. A waiter then approached the hostess and pointed at the clipboard, the hostess told him she was not going to seat one person in a booth. So I approached the hostess that initially signed me in and inquired why the two ladies were given a booth even though I was there before them, she didn’t know and looked for the waitress who sat them. The waitress proceeded to move them to a bigger booth to seat me. I was very disappointed. I realize it was not right to leave a tip but customers should not be given preferential treatment.

Horrible service from the host. The host did not recommend options on sitting arrangement. Since we were a group of 6. Two adults and 4 kids. However she was able to make sitting arrangements for a party that walked up with the the same amount of people. Sadly, she was being a sycophant to the party that walked up due to social status. The most upsetting part was how we were waiting for 40 minutes and I had young kids waiting to eat after a soccer game .

New Orleans meets Turlock at Huckleberry's, where as the menu states, "Southern cookin' with a California twist." After enjoying breakfast at this fine restaurant, you're sure to be a believer in the amazing cuisine enjoyed at Huckleberry's... located in Turlock, CA.I didn't have the pleasure of joining my friend Dan for breakfast, so I'm simply posting photos he sent me and writing his experiences. All photos were taken by my 30+ year friend Dan Weir, and all credit goes to him. Too bad I wasn't able to join him for breakfast!!Caveat... I did not get the pleasure to enjoy breakfast at this fine restaurant, so I'm posting a "second person" write-up, so to speak.So... consider this a "third person" posting of this fine restaurant. However, I know my friend Dan very well and if he likes this restaurant, trust me... I'll LOVE it!

Super bummed!! Had a waitress with dirty looks and attitude (1:00 0m Saturday) The servers handed us our plates across the table and made us reach for them. Eggs were rubbery and cold...monte Cristi sandwich was the only thing untouched by the powdered sugar...ugh!! I'm a BIG tipper 25-35% because they work hard!! Disappointed!! Very nice manager!!

Stopped for breakfast. I started with a mug of hot chocolate while my partner had coffee. The only possible fans that they could have for the hot chocolate must be kids because it comes with a solid inch of really thick cream. And, I mean REAL thick! I am NOT a fan. I ordered 2 eggs scrambled with sausage (they are links vs patties). There are no items listed a la carte, but they are available. The food was typical breakfast fare. My partner ordered 2 slices of French toast with bacon. It was a good thing he only got two slices of toast as those took up the entire platter! The 2 slices of bacon looked rather pitiful on a platter all by themselves, but they were edible.Overall, it's okay. Typical breakfast.
