We hadn’t even sat down at our table and our waitress wanted to our drink orders. When my coffee did arrive, it was cold. There were tables on both sides of ours that had not been cleaned. They were not busy. There was only two other tables besides ours young staff on board not attentive at all. An older gentleman was at a laptop at the back of this restaurant. If he was the manager, he was not paying attention to what was going on. My husband had the pot pie and the macaroni and cheese, and it lacked Flavor and was cold. My fish and chips the fries were so salty. We’ve been there for Breakfast and the food was good. Definitely looks like they have less customers.

11/16/25 around 3:30-4 p.m. Music blaring when you walk in. Took forever for our waitress to come take our order. I ordered little less dinner pot roast. Asked for the mashed potatoes and gravy on a separate plate. It came on the same plate as my pot roast. My pot roast, gravy, and mashed potatoes were cold. I don’t know if they sat or if the cook did not heat up the dinner enough. My husband ordered the big bacon breakfast. His bacon was raw and flimsy, potatoes were hard, he asked for over medium eggs and received fried. Disappointing. This is the very first black bear diner we have been to that the food was completely disappointing. I asked for my dinner to be taken off the tag. It should have been both dinners.

Black bear diner is a good restaurant with nice staff, only thing is that really need to clean there windowsill, I was eating breakfast and so many dead flies on windowsill so gross..

The service was great! I did not enjoy my meal because of all the unsupervised children running all over the place. I really think management should do something about all these kids running around without their parents. These kids were screaming!

I must say this restaurant was great, good food, excellent workers especially a young gentleman named Tanner. When we walked in he greeted us with a big smile and constantly making sure we had everything we needed he had such a great attitude.This says a lot about the manager and all the great people that work there. Keep up the good work and thank you. 👍🏻
this store employee always always ignores dashers only helping. dinein people or togo people i am so mad because my pickup time is 10:44 employees ask me 5 min more then aftern 25 min late give me order verry bad may b sheff to because he no prepare order or employee no paking order verry bad experience

After eating our breakfast the waiter ignored us. Walked by se eral times serving other customers but never brought our check. At one point he made eye contact then took a drink of something and disappeared. At this point we went to front and told the person at the register that we had been waiting for our check for quite a while. She rang us up and we paid. I did not leave a tip. Usually we get great service at Black Bear Diner.

The food is always good here. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I like the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes (and the garlic bread). Awesome! I also like the mini pies, especially the chocolate cream and banana cream. The only minor complaint that I have is the occasional faint aroma of what smells like a sewer. I've noticed during my last few visits. But, admittedly, I haven't dined there for a month or two... so hopefully that situation has been rectified. But I'll definitely be eating there again.
