During my fifth visit, I noticed the lunch menu was the same as the dinner menu—each bowl of pho costs around $20. My only complaint about this restaurant is the inconsistency in serving sizes. The bowls they use for pho vary in size, so I requested extra soup when I received a smaller bowl for $20. Unfortunately, they charged me an additional $5 for it. I ended up paying $29 tax-inclusive for just one large bowl of combination pho.

Delicious vegetable crispy spring rolls and yummy cold shrimp rolls. The chicken wings were not spicy enough, however still good. Looking forward in trying the pho next time. Service was ok and price seemed high compared to other restaurants.

Good Vietnamese food, especially their bun cha and egg rolls. The egg rolls are special, they have a great crispy light skin covering a tasty filling mixture that is delicious, the skin is what makes it so good. The bun cha is also delicious, with lean meat in a tasty savory sweet sauce combined with the bun and vegetables. It's really excellent. We come here for these 2 menu items many times, it's consistently good.

The food was just ok and definitely not worth the high price tag. The pho is ridiculously oily and mostly noodles. My table was ignored until I flagged someone down. This place is not family-friendly with only 1 highchair available.

To my opinion, they close too early - 8pm? But I finally got a take out an order and slurp it down right away at home with the pho half cooled down 😕 it's delicious, I'll drop by another time to enjoy the in store consumption 😁

Everything from start to finish was not good. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was not very sweet and lacked a lot of condensed milk. My wife ordered their lychee tea and it was not sweet whatsoever. The server tried to accommodate by saying he could make it sweeter, but it still wasn’t sweet enough (We don’t even like things that sweet to say the least, so I can’t imagine how it would be for someone who does). The food was sub par as well. I ordered the beef skillet with the side of banh mi bread. The bread tasted frozen and was not crispy. The dish itself lacked enough sauce to even consider dipping the bread in, the meat also seemed to be low quality. My wife ordered the Vietnamese macaroni beef dish, which again needed more sauce. The service was what you would expect and I really don’t blame the servers whatsoever as they were helpful and accommodating. I just feel that there are way better options for Vietnamese food elsewhere.

Got a couple varieties of spring rolls to go and they all were amazing, can’t wait to come back and try more of their options! Overall really good quality and service.

Nice big open space, and we enjoyed the food, and our little likes to run around outside.

Egg rolls were good, nice and crisp. However, difficult to eat as we didn’t receive any plates for sharing. Pho was fine, pricey, not necessarily memorable. 95% noodles 5% meat.

Just came here bc it was empty and we had a big party, but the servers were good and the food was fresh. I especially recommend the fried egg rolls (the crispy batter is light and crunchy) and the vermicelli sheet dish. I picked egg rolls and grilled chicken and it was so delish!!

I didnt think I would review the place so the pics are the food almost gone! Haha

I have eaten inside 399 Vietnamese Kitchen countless times, and it is on point every time. The servers are very courteous. The pho never requires any toppings or sauces, because the broth and seasoning are perfect on their own. I also love all of the banh-mi, noodle dishes, and shaken beef. It feels so good to find your favorite place!

My experience at 399 was so good I was inspired to leave a review! We came around dinner time on a Saturday. It was kind of quiet and the atmosphere was relaxing. We came to check it out during OC Restaurant week. They had an amazing deal: Dinner for 2 for $55. We went with 1 app and 2 entrees. The portions were good and the ingredients were quality. I also loved the plates they used to serve. Very pleasant experience overrall and great for the deal they had going!
