I stopped by this spot on a whim, primarily drawn in by the enticing name—after all, I’ve always loved Sandos on the East Coast, and they're a bit harder to come by out here. The atmosphere is charming and has a distinct Californian vibe that adds to the experience.
However, my visit was slightly marred by the demeanor of the gentleman at the register, who came across as quite stern; he might be better suited for back-of-house duties than front-of-house interactions.
On the bright side, the pricing for the sandwiches was reasonable, though I found the portion size of the fries a bit disappointing—definitely opt for the house-made chips instead; they're a much better choice!
As for the food, the pastrami sandwich was flavorful and utterly delicious—it certainly didn't disappoint. The tuna sandwich, while more typical, featured fresh bread that elevated the overall experience.
Overall, it’s a cute spot worth visiting, just be prepared for a no-frills interaction at the counter!

Ordered the Cali Chicken Club with no tomato. The sandwich had tomatoes, the chicken was dry, and the bread was not fresh. Customer service was less than stellar; he was somewhat rude when asking for here or to go after I started my order.

We've been driving past this place for over 5 years (if they've been there that long). We've never tried it because we assumed it was just a "beer pub / sandwich place", which it is, and there's nothing wrong with those places, but we don't drink beer or eat sandwiches (we're some of those low-carb people). But a very pleasant surprise, they also have incredible, fresh salads! The service has been excellent, the place is very clean and I suspect their sandwiches are delicious. 5 STARS!
Vegetarian options: They have great salads and they allowed substitutions.
Dietary restrictions: They have great salads and they allowed substitutions.
Parking: This place is in a mall, no parking on nearby streets. Lots of parking though, and other great shops/businesses. A safe place.
Kid-friendliness: Definitely a place your kids can make some noise at. Lots of large tables in corner areas where you could corral them in if you needed to. I'm not a 'kids at restaurants' person, but would not be offended if kids were here. It's a family friendly place from the get go.
Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking spaces and ramp through double doors.

Holy…..! I had the pastrami on sourdough and it was glorious! California is hit or miss with fries but these were pretty good. I’ll definitely be back.

Fine sandwiches, but place needs and attitude overhaul. Quiet Sunday afternoon and I stroll in to order 3 sandwiches; one couple ordering ahead of me. I order. I tip. I wait…. And watch as the three people who ordered BEHIND me, plus 2 online orders pickup. Where’s mine, I ask. “Sorry, man, I’m not in the kitchen.” 30 minutes to get 3 cold cut sandwiches! And hardly an apology. Places that slice the meat per order are faster than this!
AS OF June 2024 they have DRASTICALLY reduced the sizes of their sandwiches while keeping the price the same! I WILL NO LONGER BE GOING HERE.

I just had the most epic tuna sandwich what I was craving you for and I found it at Bronx Sandwich in Tustin! This place is the real deal - their tuna sandwich is so good, it'll make you forget all about your adulting problems (at least for a few bites). The drinking fountain is like a soda sommelier, with more options than a Netflix menu. And on the side they have house-made chips - they're like a flavor bomb just waiting to blow your taste buds away not to salty. Sure, the sandwiches are a little
pricier than your average fast food joint, but
trust me, it's worth it. Bronx Sandwich is keeping it real (and delicious) even in these hard times. would tuna again!

Love their sandwiches on baguettes and their bacon breakfast burritos. I've tried their hot and cold sandwiches at both their Anaheim and Tustin locations, and most are pretty delicious with quality ingredients. The only thing I'm not a fan of is their thick pastrami (they have 2 kinds - thick and thin), which I once got by accident. Their thin (westcoast/california style) pastrami is great though. I will note that I've only ordered for delivery, so have never been to the actual restaurants.

Restaurantji Recommends
My husband enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I had the shrimp po boy. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. It was just fried shrimp with hot sauce on the side. The bald gentleman wasn't helpful. My husband asked what he recommended, and his response was, "It depends what you're in the mood for." If you work at a restaurant and can't answer this question, why are you there? At least know what your most popular sandwich is.

Upon taking a bite into my food I bit down on A metal washer and had to spit out my food, I find this really alarming being that we paid for two sandwiches and almost broke a tooth or worse practically swallowed a whole metal washer in the middle of my cheese and steak on a Philly cheese steak I really don’t even know what to say as this could’ve gone such a different way being that it’s a choking hazard like what do I do? Really unfortunate as I really wanted to give this a shot.
