We made dinner reservations for a Friday evening dinner & show. At arrival we were welcomed & greeted by the host and were immediately seated at a booth. I loved that we had the perfect view for the show. As we sat down we got a basket of warm chips along with some salsa (salsa was so so. disclaimer we love our salsa spicy) and our drink orders were taken right away. We ordered two non alcoholic margaritas & an horchata. Drinks came out fast & they were good. We ordered 3 dinner plates: carnitas and enchilada, chile relleno & enchilada & the tampiqueña plate that comes with an enchilada and steak. All dishes were served with rice & beans. The portion of the food was generous. My daughter & mom loved their food! I say mine was 4 of 5 but only because the enchilada sauce was prepared differently than what I am accustomed to but it was still good. My steak was very good. The meat was soft & seasoned well. The flan was delicious (so creamy) a little party in your mouth!! So Gooooood! Not squishy just perfect!! I give the mariachi (all woman ensemble) a 5 out of 5. Their voices were amazing & they all harmonized so well. My mom got chills listening to them. They were such a treat!! Definitely the highlight of the night. Casa Del Sol is a wonderful family environment with such a great vibe!!! Great place to celebrate any occasion. We will be returning soon. I do wish they had more appetizer options than just guacamole. :) other than that it was a great dinner & show.

We just had our daughter's birthday/baptism private dining here. Our experience was beyond our expectations! The staff were very attentive and the food was exceptional. Our family told us how beautiful the set up looked and raved about their food. Great authentic food! Drinks were superb. If you're looking for Mexican Cuisine with a vibrant ambiance this is the place! We topped our server extra for his attentiveness. We recommend the sampler platter, birria tacos, steak and shrimp, Paloma drinks, las playas drink! we will definitely be coming back! The manger was friendly and very accommodating. Reserve your big party here!!

While reading through some reviews, I just find it disturbing and rude that the business owner ONLY replies to positive reviews.. Wanted to give it a try but, I'll pass now..

Nice discovery! Mike M provided exceptional service while providing epic chicken fajitas and delicious Matua Sauvignon Blanc. Gorgeous outdoor patio and ambiance. Located in The District which is one stop shopping and entertainment!

We decided to make reservations here after seeing it on a social media site. The food was good and what you would expect for this price point, the mariachi show is great. The biggest letdown were the drinks. We ordered Paloma's and Cadillac margaritas and were truly disappointed by the quality, especially given the prices. Our Paloma's came in a tall glass that was overfilled with ice. I know ice is a thing in bars and restaurants but this was overkill; we couldn't even taste the drink (what there was of it). The Cadillac margaritas were no better as they were loaded with mixer, making it difficult to taste anything else. This is a good spot to enjoy authentic Mexican food and mariachi music, but don't expect anything from the mixed drinks.

Great mariachi show, the drinks were actually very good ..you know how drinks can be a huge gamble anywhere you go. I can't speak of the food, we were there for the mariachi and drinks .. it accommodates families, couples. We went on Sunday night not as crowded as you would expect .. one think I would suggest is that the server/bartender should check on ur drink more consistent.. Mariachi makes you wanna drink‍

Can't review the food as my wife and I were completely ignored by all. We had to even insist to the hostess that we be acknowledged. Once at our table the wait staff never even acknowledged us. We got up and left and they didn't care at all. Will NEVER NEVER return. Based on 3.9 stars I can't imagine they'll be around much longer. Don't waste your time even attempting to eat here. Go to taco bell instead at least you'll get served there.

Friendly and wonderful staff; great food and drinks. Only thing I don't like is there's a slight walk from your car but that's just me.

Being from North Texas we are very picky about our Mexican food and this place is very tasty, clean and friendly. Thank you for the wonderful food. See y’all soon

My friend and I walked in on a Sunday evening (March 2nd) and we were seated immediately at a cute spacious booth. We ordered drinks to start which were amazing. I got La Penca which was so yummy, highly recommend if you like Tamarind! We seemed to have arrived at a perfect time because the live Mariachi was just about to start getting ready to play music. The owner, Jose Hernandez, was beyond welcoming and charismatic! His passion for music and pride of his restaurant is evident. The food was super tasty too and the ribeye was huge! Definitely worth the price. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. The music was beautiful as well. Everyone is so talented and their positive attitude made the energy of the place really stand out. Overall the ambiance was fun, family friendly, and lively! The churro ice cream dessert was 10/10... soo good!! Casa Del Sol will now be part of my favorite dinner place rotation and I will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know! Thank you Jose and everyone else for making my first time here such a pleasant experience!

Splash! The sizzling hot shrimp showered all over my friend's pants. I could see the shrimp smoke flying around his pants and hoodie. While my friend was in shock, the waiter asked, "Are you alright?" My friend automatically answered while the heat smoke literally flew around his clothing, "I'm okay." The waiter said, "Let me get you a new plate," and walked away as if nothing happened. A woman stood behind the waiter, whom I assumed was their manager. They both looked around like dodo birds, never apologized once, never offered to help, no clean laundry was offered, and no napkins were provided to remove the hot food. They walked away with, "Let me get you a new plate," while we pulled napkins out of the bags to help him. They watched us doing that but walked away without saying anything. The waiter/waitress kept dropping stuff on the table, expecting customers to carry things from their hands. When they brought the food to the table, they didn't want to place them on the table. We paid to sit there and have food delivered to our table; we also didn't want to touch the hot plate. We watched them keep dropping things; we just wondered when they were going to drop something again, and eventually, they dropped the hot stuff on my friend. --- Oaxaca Old Fashioned: Cough medicine tasted better than this. --- Mango Margarita: No alcohol inside at all. The waitress, the one that I kept asking for a lemon wedge that never got delivered. The waitress said, "I'll make your mango slush margarita into a drink; it's better." I just wondered who asked her to do that. When I saw the yummy picture on Yelp, I wanted to try a bit different margarita. Who is she to remove the fun fact on this drink? And she also forgot to put alcohol into my margarita, just like those lemon wedges she forgot during the entire meal. --- Nachos: Crushed, rancid, like they got the chips from some leftover bag. --- Camarones with garlic butter: Plating looks undesirable, like pig swill. The color, its texture, that one word can describe: mushy. The shrimp is overcooked, overly salted, stale and nothing else on the plate is edible. The vegetables look drab, and I had some squash; it's very salty and oily. The rice is dry, and the beans are nasty. It tasted as bad as it looks. --- Sizzling fajitas: Sizzling fajitas: My friend got showered with a sizzling plate. Now I'm thinking, maybe it's not the worst situation, because instead of the sizzling food, it could've been that sizzling pan. If it's the sizzling pan, I think my friend wouldn't have to work anymore and my lawyer friends will be happy if it's a sizzling pan. This place makes Mexican cuisine look bad. Something from the school canteen looks and tastes better than this. Luckily, we had better Mexican food somewhere else; otherwise, if you are unfamiliar with Mexican food, you'll think that Mexican cuisine doesn't have good palates. I've never seen people deliver or place the plate across the customer; normally, the food has been delivered from the side or from behind. This is restaurant customer service 101. From the chef, waiter service, bartender, till its manager, the place is running by a bunch of amateurs. And they charged us full price even though they saw we left the majority of the food on our plates, and they pan-fried our friend. Technically, it's a zero-star experience.

Definitely expected more for the price you pay for medicocre tacos at a restaurant with kitchen staff. Their taco tuesday is sub-mid for $3 each. It doesnt cost more to make them better. I was embarrased showing off my taco tuesday meal compared to some $1.50 tacos off a street vendor my friend sent me. Bartender was very nice as well as the other staff. 5 stars so they dont go out of business.
