I'm Chinese and was shocked at how awful the food was. In general especially in Orange County, chinese food is decent in most places as there are so many options so it's competitive.
The cashew chicken was greasy and didn't have sufficient sauce. The only good thing about the dish was the chicken was not overcooked. There were insufficient vegetables in the dish. The rice was short/medium grain and a little overcooked. The combination lo mein was meh which was a recommendation by the waiter, the better option between their noodle dishes. The food is very expensive. When I asked the waitress what type of Chinese food they served eg. Cantonese, szechuan, northern etc, she tried to tell me it was palace food lol! China Palace tries to be a fancy chinese restaurant but it's dated. The dinner plates had visible fingerprints on it and I had to ask for chopsticks, which were cheap takeout ones wrapped in paper. Panda express is tastier at a fraction of the price. And I generally avoid Panda Express. I'm from out of town and arrived on the metrolink after 3+ hours starving hangry and just went by aggregate google reviews and didn't bother reading individual reviews.

Good food with great service. For the people from the old country, ask for the Chinese only menu. You’ll find some great options there.東坡肉、乾煸四季豆、椒鹽蝦 were all really great options. We were taken care of by the owner‘s mother. She was a sweet lady and they come from a long line of restauranteurs dating all the way back to the grandfather who was the dessert chef for Chiang Kai Shek.

Our waiter was the best in everyway. He has worked there 15 years. Short and maybe Hispanic. Dark short hair.

Food was great 👍
Great food! Ample seating for families and couples. We ordered family style and tried quite a few options. Hot tea was tasty. All were delicious! Plenty of free parking too.
Always satisfy, never disappoint and never leave without a full stomach.
Tried Honey Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. Mongolian beef was okay (didn’t have enough charred flavor), but HWS was exceptional. Can’t remember the last time I had HWS that I could actually taste the flavor of the shrimp! I will definitely try other dishes next time
Restaurantji Recommends

Love this restaurant. We finally found our spot. We'll trek over from Fullerton for some great, authentic food. Great for the family.
