One of the best Japanese bakery in Southern California. It has awesome pastries especially the strawberry croissants. We especially liked the packaged pork katsu sandwiches, onigiri, and CA rolls.

I got an apple croissant pastry this morning. Upon eating half of it I saw that there was some odd strands of fiber in the remaining piece. It looked like strands from maybe a cleaning rag or something, like translucent threads with tiny greenish dots on it. Super odd, rather gross. I tossed out the rest of the pastry and am not inclined to go here again.

The strawberry croissant is delicious and well balanced and the blueberry custard is good. There are many pastries and a variety of delicious treats. The Boston donut is good but there isn't that much chocolate in my opinion. The staff is very friendly and they are helpful. The vibe is a cafe with pastries on a different side of the room. I would definitely recommend coming here.

There is always a line but it moves quickly. The strawberry croissant and fruit tarts are amazing.

I purchased some strawberry croissants and a few Onigiris. The strawberry croissants were delightful - light, delicious, and not overly sweet. As for the Onigiri, they were decent, but nothing extraordinary that would make me rush back, although they served well as a quick savory snack.

This is a very long overdue review. I have been going to Cream Pan regularly for the last 7 years. I started with their famous strawberry croissant, and ended up trying almost everything else. I love them all! The quality is good, the price is very reasonable, and they're all super fresh - no preservative whatsoever, and yes, they go bad very quickly because of that, so I always make sure I refrigerate immediately and consume them within 1 - 2 days. They have this notice in their store too. What touched me the most is their price. Can you imagine, the chicken karage is only $3! Everywhere else it could be easily $7 - $10. They truly do care for their customers by keeping their price super affordable. It's very refreshing to see a business that treats their customers this way. I also notice that the employees always have a good attitude, this tells me that they treat their employees well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Mr. Inada for setting an example that a business can still have a heart, and be profitable while treating their customers and employees with care! Thank you for setting the focus on the right places: the exceptional quality of the goods, and care for the customers and employees.

Stopped by around 2pm to see if I could grab something for a late lunch. I was in luck, since there were still some sandwiches left, so I grabbed a pork katsu sandwich and egg sandwich. The store is set up so that you pick out what you want as you go down the line, then end up at the register with all your items. I definitely would've been full with just one sandwich, but I wanted to try both. I was done and on my way in just a few minutes. Great place to pick up a quick bite to-go for under $10. Their sweet pastries looked amazing, but I was restraining myself from buying too much -- will have to try some other time. Both sandwiches were tasty. Proportion of meat to the other ingredients in the pork katsu sandwiches was great -- not too heavy, with enough thinly-shredded cabbage to balance out the greasiness of the fried meat. The egg sandwich was similarly light but filling. Not the most amazing sandwiches I've ever tried, but for the price, they're pretty good!

The worst cake from a Japanese bakery. Very Disappointed. Used to be great until who knows when and what happened to great Japanese till they opened 2 other locations! Sponge cake is not moist, tastes like made with too much water, and covered with cheap made whipped cream, like really bad frosting! And 6" for $30.00. We will not be getting this horrible cake ever again. Horrible experience from cream pan who used to have great and real Japanese cake patisserie.

The store is personally greeted by authentic Japanese people! All are Japanese desserts and breads! There is no menu for bread, you can choose from what you see on site! In addition to desserts and breads, they also sell meat buns and red bean buns. They also sell Japanese rice balls! This time I tried the strawberry custard croissant that everyone buys. The outer layer is crispy. The filling is not too sweet. It is very easy to finish the whole thing. Unfortunately, the strawberries are a bit stingy and not like Japan. style!I also tried the meat buns. Surprisingly, the meat buns were also delicious! The outer skin is delicious, the filling is very fragrant, and the saltiness is just right ~ worth buying!Overall highly recommended and will buy again!

This is the best strawberry croissant you will ever taste! Always a hit when you bring a tray for a party or to share with friends. There are lots of other yummy looking bakery items including delicious Japanese bread, but if you are only buying one thing, do not miss the strawberry croissant!

We drive 2 hours for nothing. There were nothing to chose from nada at all. I think as a business you need to have always something to sell. Sorry to my husband that I dragged him to come here ?

The quality of the sweets is good, but it is not very expensive and economical, they put more prices on the sweets than the real value and you only need to be there a little late so that they have almost nothing.
