I’ve been here twice now. First time noticed staff was a bit unwelcoming, maybe cause I don’t speak Spanish, but ok food was good. Second time same thing, but I noticed she over charge me for a breakfast burrito; $10.50 on the menu right in front of me and she charged me, $12.99. There are other Mexican restaurants I will try in the area next time.
~Doesn’t matter how good your food is, if you treat customers like that it leaves a bad taste in their mouth.

Very good service, polite, welcoming, easy, and quick. The food was tasty, very fresh, and great quality. There was plenty of salsa to choose from, one was slightly sweet with no heat but plenty of flavor, a nother was a great mild one very tasty and addictive, and the rest had plenty of great spice. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a good Mexican meal

You service is really bad. Lately everytime we come here to eat the food takes longer and when we receive our order the food is some what cold and very salty. Especially the Chicken Posole was like totally salty. We had also order an order of tortillas and it took them like 30 minutes to get the tortillas to us. We didn’t say nothing cause we would have had to wait longer for something else. Young waitress with glasses service is bad and always makes mistakes.

If you’re looking for delicious food with a traditional homemade flavor, Taquería y Mariscos El Habanero is the spot! Everything here tastes authentic and full of flavor, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.

But what really stood out to me was the customer service. Our waitress, Joselyn, went above and beyond—when I accidentally left my phone behind, she kept it safe and even joked with me about it when I came back. That kind of honesty and genuine hospitality is something you rarely see anymore, and I truly take my hat off to her.

Between the amazing food, handmade tortillas, and the kind of customer service that makes you feel at home, this is definitely a place worth checking out. Highly recommended!

El Habanero is a true hidden gem for authentic Veracruz-style tacos! The flavors are bold, fresh, and unforgettable—you can really taste the tradition of Veracruz in every bite. The tortillas are soft and homemade, the meats are seasoned to perfection, and the salsas bring just the right amount of spice. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re back in Mexico, enjoying real street food. The service is quick, the atmosphere is casual and friendly, and the food keeps you coming back for more. If you want to experience authentic Veracruz tacos, El Habanero is a must!

pupusas are dry, barely have any meat or cheese and the young woman working at the cashier looked like she had no idea what she was doing

I had a take out from here with a friend and then returned to eat here sometime later. The food was very good both times. The only thing I wish were different is the type of plates. They serve on plastic. Apart from that, it’s a pretty good, unpretentious neighborhood restaurant.

The food and salsas are great. However, I ordered 4 tacos in person (2 al pastor and 2 asada) and was charged $21.51 when they show the price on the menu per asada/ al pastor tacos is $3.50. $3.50 x 4 = $14. Even with tax and fee for using credit card that does not justify the $7.51 (a 50% increase of the total price).
