More beans than anything in my burrito, some hard rice too .. flavor ehh ..
Very tasty torta - generous amount of ingredients. The owner was very kind . We called it a happy torta :) will definitely come back .
Living in Southern California means you’re never far from Mexican food—but finding top-tier flavor at a great price can still be a challenge. That’s where El Toro Bravo stands out. With locations in Costa Mesa and Tustin, this local gem delivers an exceptional catering experience that consistently impresses. We’ve used their catering services multiple times for my wife’s company events, and the response is always the same: people love it—and there are never any leftovers.
Their catering packages are generously portioned and packed with flavor. We typically order the traditional carne asada and chicken taco meat, paired with classic rice and beans. Each order includes all the fixings, two kinds of salsa with the perfect heat-to-flavor ratio, and their addictively good chips. The quality and taste are top-notch every time.
Beyond the food, the service is just as impressive. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. If you plan to use their catering, it’s best to call a day in advance—they’re in high demand for a reason. Whether it’s for a party, office event, or family gathering, El Toro Bravo delivers an authentic and satisfying Mexican food experience you won’t forget.
I ordered a quesadilla with pinto beans. I got a soggy quesadilla, not crispy the way it should be. Instead of pinto beans I got sodium blasted refried beans, which I hate. Way too salty. I’ll be going to the grocery store buying a low sodium can of beans and eating that with tortilla. Will never be back.
Great food and service the family meals are great
Great staff and friendly environment.

Every single bite of my carne asada burrito had fat in it. I believe it's just really low quality meat. The flavor was ok, but not worth the 20 dollars with a drink. Really disappointed and most likely never come back. Good luck if you decide to go there.

Quick stop and go spot for tacos in Tustin/Irvine area. Get the carnitas! Tortilla size is reasonable for the price. If you speak Spanish, they will treat you better. I would come back.

This place has menu items that they’re always out of. The staff was not friendly either, seemed annoyed that I was ordering items that ARE on the menu and they don’t serve.

The person who helped me was very nice and professional. The food, one taco Al pastor it’s $4, the taco is huuuuuge, so it’s worth the money, but the meat was super dry because it’s not freshly cooked to order and it stays in the heated tray all day long. The place is ugly, dirty; no effort is put into the decor at all but it’s “EL Toro Bravo” and they don’t value their customers comfort, nor desire to seat and eat in clean, nice and quiet place ?I was there years ago, and I never went back until Friday, but now that I’m reminded of how ugly, dirty disgusting and unwelcoming this place is, I’m never going back.

Restaurantji Recommends
I'm giving this restaurant one star. Despite the food being excellent, I arrived at 7:45 p.m. with their posted closing time at 9 p.m., only to find they had already closed. This was frustrating, especially after a 30-minute drive. They need to update their hours to reflect their actual operating times. Very disappointing experience.

This hole-in-the-wall that’s highly recommended is well-deserved. The staff are very kind and personable, the food is abundant and delicious, also I really liked the music which is what I grew up hearing my parents enjoy My sister ordered the breakfast eggs plate with beans and rice she thoroughly enjoyed her breakfast with warm tortillas and I ordered the chicharrón in red salsa tacos they added cilantro and onion ? I asked for green chile because the extra spiciness is a plus for me! Very tasty! I only ate one of the three tacos because it was big and filling - the other two will be perfect as the chicharrón continues to marinate in the red and green salsa. I forgot to add that we bought a lb of chicharrón and it was still warm when they bagged it up… it’s great for snacks and cooking at home : Ice-T happy eating dance:What a fantastic find El Toro Bravo is ? once again, the food was delicious and the service was great - I felt at home ❤️???️
