Always a great time. A carnivore/keto paradise.

We celebrated two graduations at GEN Korean BBQ and had an amazing time! The premium menu was 🔥—top-quality, flavorful meats. Huge shoutout to Andy and Kyle for being so attentive and helping my kids grill and cook. We all felt so special. Highly recommend! #GraduationDinner #GENKBBQ

Extremely slow service. Sitting there just waiting after each round. Cooked food came out cold, new grill plates came out with soap suds and smells. One of the slowest most disappointed kbbq experiences I've had and few staff. Meat was not bad though.

I've been to the Gen KBBQ in Fullerton several times and always had a great experience there, my first time here at this location and it was awful. It seemed they only had 2 servers for an entire lunch shift. It took us 30 minutes to get our waters, 45 minutes to get our other drinks. We had to ask for things several times as they kept getting forgotten about. They kept seating more and more tables when they couldn't even take care of the ones they had. Will never be back to this location.

One of my favorite Korean bbq restaurants! I love that you can make reservations. I called ahead and made plans for a large group for Mother’s Day. Service at these types of places are not top notch but it’s what’s expected. It did take a while to get the items we ordered but it obviously gets busy. There’s plenty of variety and you get a lot for what you pay for. Favorite meat is the brisket of course! They also have dishes like calamari, Korean fried chicken, spicy rice sticks. We eat until we can’t eat anymore LOL. I wish there was an option like this is LA…

It's good food, not the best service, but they are doing ok since it's usually packed with people.
We love eating here every time we crave Korean bbq.
The only pain point is that I feel their restaurant isn't sanitary enough

Very poor service.. we ordered the premium package but would only get 30-40% of what we ordered every time the waiter came around… a bit tacky.. I would happily pay for real service but they’re more concerned about ripping folks off apparently…

Excellent! My first time eating "real" Korean BBQ. I met a friend of mine at this location for lunch. We got the premium menu. All I can say is "wow"! The service was excellent, the food was great quality and I ate myself into a food coma... Just trying everything! So many delicious meats and sides to choose from. The service was spot on. Everything I needed was brought to me at just the right time, without even asking. My drink never ran low, my grill never over used and my plates always replinished. My favorites were the wagyu beef, the kimchi fried rice, the dumplings and the salad. Second favorite meat was the longbone beef. Would definitely recommend. Great experience.

Gen is going downhill in my opinion... Meat quality is not as good as before, price is more expensive than when they opened, side dishes have less variety and Side dishes size is also smaller making you having to reorder the same item multiple times and making things slower since service is not the fastest either.

Music and exhaust fan sound is super loud making this a very bad place to eat with your friends or special other since you have to shout to talk...

There are better kbbq places out there. Gen used to be one of the better ones, but no more...

I had a surprise experience since when we entered they offered us a place that was a little dark, we asked to change places but they told us that they were reserved, (which people never arrived)
When we put our grill on they lit it so much that when we placed our first order the flames started very high... anyway
It continued when we asked about the drinks if they were included and they said yes so we ordered a couple (for which they charged us) we asked for "premium" meat but they did not explain the dynamics of how their strategy works so we ordered a couple of them. So at the end they charged us twice per person $(40) + regular (29.90) plus drinks...anyway.
They should explain the dynamics, not all people are experts in these places.
Thank you!

This was such a horrible experience. They racially profiled me for all my face tattoos and never approached me with a menu or any type of assistance as if my money isn’t the same value as other customers. The fact that they are hispanic too like me and they are acting this way is just sad. Tattoos are a part of my skin color

Its a gen's you know what you're here for. Pretty good spot the vents and grills are well kept and they are prompt to swap grills. I recommend themif you're looking for kbbq and you're comfortable with a chain place.

Vegetarian options: Vegetarians and vegans will not be happy here. If you bring a friend who is veggie or vegan they will have incredibly few options.
