I’d been craving AYCE bbq, and I was reminded of how much I loved going to Gyu-Kaku back when I lived in LA. It had been a couple of years since my last visit, so I checked their menus online and was happy to see they still offer AYCE, happy hour deals, à la carte options, and lunch specials.

The food was good, but it's sooooo loud and packed, from the parking lot to the table arrangements. We literally have to shout across the table in order to hear each other. If you're just there to get full and you don't care about the social value of dining out, then this place will do. If you need to talk, you will have a better conversation at McDonald's.

This is my new favorite place to eat every single Monday when I’m off. I have no other desires for my free time than to truly enjoy myself. The AYCE is not only great value, it’s such a damn good time with loved ones and some cold beers. It’s shocking to me that there’s not always a wait.
