Not sure why the negative reviews. Stopped by on my lunch break and tried the Channa Masala and Naan and it was great. They're now a sit down type restaurant, as opposed to a lunch buffet style. Waiter was very nice, food was delicious, and portions meant i have enough leftovers for dinner.

This was our 2nd time coming here and we won't be coming back. Our first visit was a few months ago and it was great.  This was before their update when they had a cafeteria/fast food type of style restaurant. My bf and I happened to be in the area and were craving Indian food so we stopped by here. We LOVED it. The food and the value. I think it was like $11 and you got 2 items, rice, and naan. I had ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and a regular chicken curry. I loved the Chicken Tikka Masala so much and so did my bf, enough that we were willing to drive all the way back to come here again (we live 32 miles away). Our 2nd visit did not go well. Now their restaurant has been updated to more of a sit down place and the menu was different. Anyway, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala again and even pointed at it on the menu when ordering, but when I got it, I noticed the color was off cuz it was a yellow curry. It looked like Butter Chicken and it had veggies in it. I asked the waiter if it was Chicken Tikka Masala and he said yes. I even tasted it and it was 100% for sure Butter Chicken. So when he came back, I told the waiter I think I was given Butter Chicken instead and he just says "No" kinda rudely and walked away before I can even respond. I didn't mind eating it, but it's not what I ordered or wanted. He came back to ask if he can take it back to show the chef just to be sure. I said sure. He takes it, comes back and tells me yes it's correct. I even mentioned I've been there before and it looked different, but I just said okay because I don't want to be difficult. I just ate it but gradually got more annoyed. I know the difference between Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken, my bf and I eat Indian food all the time. I'm sure what happened was the waiter and the chef knew they messed up, but decided to just tell me it was Chicken Tikka Masala thinking I don't know the difference because none of our group looked Indian. And they probably didn't want to remake my correct food because I had already started eating it, but I had to start eating it if the waiter insisted it was correct. If I got the wrong item, they should still correct the situation but they didn't care. When my bf questioned about the menu change, they did mention they still had their original chef and a new one, which makes me suspect one of the reasons for me getting the wrong item. Our bill still said Chicken Tikka Masala too.So, I'm upset that we drove all the way out here again, only for me to NOT get the one thing I came back for. On top of being told I was wrong. I know what Chicken Tikka Masala looks and tastes like! It sucks to have to leave 1 star when we were so hyped up to come back here, but even the menu change we didn't like as the dishes were more expensive than before and didn't even come with naan unless you pay for it. For these reasons, we won't be coming back. I hope they learn how to better treat their customers. Maybe leaving a 1 star will make them care, maybe not. They should have higher standards with their new restaurant upgrade and prices.

They have fresh sweets available for purchase, they taste really good. At 12$ a pound its a reasonable price.

I like going to the restaurant portion. I have tried their bhel puri, paratha's and some of the lunch items. Their paneer masala was pretty good. I did not like the palak panner very much. Pretty big selection of groceries as well.

Food is delicious and so many options to choose. Price point was good and they even have tables if you want to eat inside but I took it to go

There was hair found in the curry we ordered for dinner. Absolute terrible food. We used to come here all the time but service and food quality all has good down the toilet now. The curry was so watery and liquid. No flavor what so ever. Not what I expected at all. This resturant clearly doesn't deserve customer's hard earned money with this terrible food. There are plenty of Indian resturants that offer groceries and serve food that are acceptable to a standard. The decline in quality here is so steep and apparent. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the food; it was that bad

I used to be a fan of this place I didn't mind paying expensive prices for the quality of food. They used to have, but it's clear that it has gone downhill. The decline in quality and hygiene standards is evident in the hair (short and light in color) found in the rice and the watery chicken tikka masala. The unpleasant smell from the fermented garlic on the naan! It's disheartening to see a once-loved restaurant fall so far in terms of food quality and cleanliness. My trust in their kitchen's standards has been shattered, and I won't be returning. One star is a generous rating given the current state of the establishment.

If there was an option for zero stars I would put that. There was hair found in the curry we ordered for dinner. Absolute terrible food. We went here more for the food than groceries. Our first experience with the chaat was surprisingly good, so we went back a week later. Did not disappoint on either visit. We tried Sev Puri, Kachori Channa, Dhokla, Gobi Manchurian and Chilli Chicken. All the items were delicious. Definitely one of the better options for chaat in Orange county. Portions were generous for the price. While the Gobi Manchurian took some time to prepare, it was well worth the wait. Hot, crispy and just the right blend of spices and flavor. This appears like a simple, economical, family run place and it shows in the attention to detail and repeat patrons who struck casual conversations. Will definitely be on our short list of places to satiate our chaat and snack cravings!Vegetarian options: Most of the items on the menu are vegetarian.
